Player Watch Hugh Bond - Signed to End of 2025

Bit baffled by this one. Had him delisted at the end of the year, averaging 12 touches and is getting a game off the back of a ‘strong’ 16 disposal game. Curtin, Edwards etc must be scratching their head.

Review Good, Bad and Ugly vs Lions

Goodness me the constant McHenry bashing gets tiresome when he was better than Tex, Smith, Hinge, Curtin, Nank, Cook. By no means was Ned spectacular today but wasn't the main reason we didnt win. Soligo unreal again, Rankine a star and Fog starting to work back into some form. Losing Worrell...

List Mgmt. 2024 List Mismanagement and Trading

Hayward is obviously a very good player, but is he the kind of player we should be offering 800 a year to when we probably still lack mid depth, and another key back? If we were interested in a half forward, I'd try and get Luko on the cheap as they're likely to see another cap squeeze with all...

Player Watch Rory Sloane - Retired

2 x time best and fairest, All Australian and club captain from a bloke taken at pick 44. Had some of the weirdest injuries in his career, but still cracked in every week. One of our greats. Excited to see who he hands the number 9 on to.

Player Watch Darcy Fogarty - Re-Signed to End of 2031

There was a reason Fog slid on draft night, and we have unfortunately seen why. One of those classic cases of being much bigger than most of his peers at underage level, which he used to his advantage. You can't rely on that at the top level. He's a similar height/shape to Tex/Hawkins, but...

Preview Changes Rd 4 vs Melbourne

Great, Parnell, Berry are gonna lead us to the promise land. Cook average on the weekend and Dowling was unreal. I hate this club.

Player Watch Elliott Himmelberg - Contract extension to 2024

I know he's inconsistent and can be cumbersome but he's shown enough signs here and there, plus he's still only 24. At the very least, gives some of our young SANFL boys somewhere to kick too. Still a decent option if Thilthorpe, Fog go down.

Must mean Fish is gone, need some key position depth.

    Darcy is good.

Player Watch Ned McHenry - Delisted

It's easy to find stats in anyones game to support your bias. The 19 pressure acts, 5 tackles, 4 score involvements and 1 goal suggests a more than reasonable game :)

Player Watch Ned McHenry - Delisted

I hope the Ned knocker’s can at least acknowledge his performance tonight xo

See what happens when you reward SANFL form!! Let’s stop gifting games and start playing blokes who deserve it!!

10 weeks overdue for Worrell, watch them drop him after one game.

Player Watch Ned McHenry - Delisted

But how’s that Ned’s fault? It’s not like we missed any massive talents that went after him. He could’ve easily been a Taryn Thomas who has all the talent in the world but doesn’t want to be out there. You can’t knock Ned’s endeavour, and he does a lot of little things that other players don’t...

Player Watch Ned McHenry - Delisted

14 touches, a goal, 5 tackles, 30 pressure acts, 86% disposal efficiency, 5 score involvements, 370 metres gained and 6 inside 50s. Still only 21 with less than 50 games to his name, being played out of position (was drafted as a mid) in the hardest position on the ground, for one of the...

Review Crows vs NM: The Good, the bad and ... the stultifyingly DULL.

The midfield mix without Crouch is so much better. Schoenberg's first instinct is to move the ball forward, and doesn't lob up backwards hospital ball handpasses. He also gained roughly the same amount of metres as Crouch did last week with about 18 less touches.

    Review Good/Bad vs Brisbane, R9 2022

At least Gollant is having scoring shots, the ball needs to land in Darcy's lap xo

    Review Good/Bad vs Brisbane, R9 2022

Good- Hats off to Hately, funny what happens when you give young players midfield minutes. Dawson unreal, wish we had two of him. Jones had some big moments and kept McCarthy quiet, would’ve like to see Nicks back him in for the Charlie job. Soligo has something. McAdams and McHenry’s...

Preview Changes: R9 vs Brisbane - Saturday May 14, 7.10pm ACST @ Adelaide Oval

Whats the point in playing Schoenberg for one week? Offers something different to Hately who is the same as the rest of our midfield.

Preview Changes: R8 vs Carlton - Sunday May 8, 4.10 pm ACST @ Marvel Stadium

Looking like an inspired choice by the club to leave ROB and Sholl in the side and picking Hinge after an average SANFL game whilst Strachan, Rowe, Worrell watch on.

List Mgmt. 2022 List Management and trading thread

They go hand in hand, you asked if anyone coasted and went onto bigger and better things, Steven May absolutely has. When he first signed at Melbourne he was labelled as unfit, overweight etc, funny how he pulled his finger out...

List Mgmt. 2022 List Management and trading thread

Agreed, he'd get less attention from opposition behind Rachele, he'd come into a Darren Burgess program as well as having competition from McHenry, Rowe to get a game. I think escaping those slippery GC conditions will also go a long way, he wouldn't be the first player to become instantly...

Preview Changes: R8 vs Carlton - Sunday May 8, 4.10 pm ACST @ Marvel Stadium

I'd love to know what the feedback is internally for Josh. Debuted in slippery Cairns where we only rocked up for 20 minutes of footy and hasn't been seen since. Arguably been our most consistent player in the 2s over the last 12 months.
