Player Watch #37: Cooper Harvey - signs 1yr extension - Roo til end 2025

Dicey areas, don't mind it overall. Only because it's Boomer's kid. Has the innate goal sense and ability in 1v1 contests. Players like that can be handy in modern transition football, even if they're not 6'3 or lightning quick. In order to make it he would have to become incredibly hard...

Player Watch #10: Colby McKercher - R9 AFL RS nom - goes bang w/ 37d on his return vs GCS

A fair chunk of his turnovers were him trying to create something with a whole lot of stagnant team-mates around him. If you had plonked him into a good side and system his first year would be being talked about way more.

What is the most North club of other sports?

Definitely Wednesday in soccer. Been my FIFA choice for years and am a casual observer of their fortunes in real life. Also their main cross-town rival wears red & black (and white).

Player Watch #?: Jacob Konstanty - Welcome to North Melbourne - traded with L.Parker for Pick 44

Might be the type of team orientated role player that plays better with better players, i.e. at AFL level rather than the VFL. I think he'll have some moments at Etihad when we're up and about.

Metronome-like, similar to Boomer. Not one player we have can touch that level of kicking consistency.

We did exactly what Sydney and Footscray thought we'd do. Going to try and not let it sour the fact we got 3 premiership players in. Culturally I think this will have a bigger impact than finding a player at 25 or 44

Rapt with the Konstanty news, at least he's a ready made pressure forward to try in the role. Hansen's shown a bit, but I don't think he's going to be that manic small, he's more a clean, one-touch offensive player. Hopefully special K can lift our other young forwards and create a bit of buzz...

Pressure-orientated player who hasn't had a run at it in the AFL. Worth a look if cheap and might be able to build some chemistry with guys like PC and the Duurs, who is a former teammate.

I'd take him just to take A small forward

Relieved to be honest. No doubt Houston would've come here and lost all of his confidence trying to kick to stationary targets.

Love it personally. I don't think I've ever seen it done to this degree, injecting 3-4 premiership players who know the standard into a side as rudderless as ours. If we get em all it's going to be fascinating to see how it pans out.

I'm sure Viney and co. are across that and aren't going to let a shit bloke and rampant adulterer loose in our clubrooms. If he's got a good footy brain and a genuine interest in helping the young guys then there is benefit in having him out there directing traffic in the VFL or AFL.

At worst Rohan is leadership in the VFL, I don't know why people are so up in arms? List spots aren't at a premium at this stage.

Coach Michael Barlow - Head of Development. 2024 Development coach of the year!

Agree we can't let him slip free, I've got a good feeling about him as a senior coach. Hopefully we can get him emotionally invested in the club.

Just getting Daniel and Parker alone raises our floor and gives our youngsters a platform to build off of. That's before we add any small forwards, as we finally look to be doing. I think we're going to be fairly competitive next season if it all falls into place
