I would assume Houston informed the Port Addled Football Club that he want to move to Victoria and if they don't make a deal happen he will be telling the market that he is nominating a club (and further reducing their bargaining position).

I'd have hoped Port's response would have been "well you shouldn't have signed an extension until 2027 then"

Instead it was "sure Mr Connors, whatever you say"

O so pleased that the pies got their man, again…

The competition really needed Collingwood to have another win after missing out on finals.
They need to go all in before their older core retires. They need this F1 gamble to go better than the last one for it to be a big win.

Connors isn’t stupid. Probably collects another payment for a new contract at the Pies plus whatever else they are throwing at him to do their bidding.

Port board taking it well:

“What is the point of this club existing anymore. Just get rid of it.”
I’m happy to help..
flame thrower kill it with fire GIF

Starting to get over player managers and opposition clubs using North as leverage.
I'm starting to get over our club being shit, not developing players and delisting instead of using uncontracted guys as bargaining chips at the trade table.

Curtis Taylor would have really turned heads to get Houston across the line.

Far, far too many people on this board saying the exact same thing for me to truly enjoy that.

You relieved? Me too, I was worried we could have got better there for a bit.

It's ok now you and others will have plenty of time next season to tell us all how if only we'd paid way way over the market rate for a flavour of the month HBF all of our issues at stoppage, lack of coherent forward structure, and inability to stem momentum swings would have been solved.

As they say, no Houston no North.

Yet despite this being clear as day that this was occurring, many here refused to accept it. More concerning is that the club continues to allow it to happen.

We should have pulled out of the race as soon as Dan/Connors told us were the third choice.

He could have easily been worth more than Joe Richards.
Too many players leaving for nothing or with 0 trade value after multiple years in the system. Laz lucky to be given a contract also
