The New York Knicks.
Demanding fans and heightened media scrutiny. Not every player can cope with the pressure of playing and living in New York. They've only won 2 championships in their history, though the NBA only started in the 40's.
Dear fellow Pies fans,
I'm a local independent filmmaker who has just begun casting my next film and I'm specifically looking for a lifelong Collingwood supporter to play the main character.
The film is called Floreat Melba and follows a week in the life of a recently unemployed, middle-aged...
There's just no matchup for Mason and the ripple effect his selection would have on the rest of the team's structure is huge. He's also got great hand-eye coordination which means if he doesn't take a mark cleanly he's still able to juggle the ball a few times till he gets both hands on it, well...
Don't trade either.
There's room for all of Witts, Grundy, Cloke, Cox and Moore in the same team.
Grundy can play as an inside midfielder around the ground anyway rather than a forward - it's probably his most natural position and I think we saw a little bit of this from Bucks last year.
The Salmon comparisons are interesting ... I'm too young to really remember Salmon at his best but the first game I saw Witts play that's who came to mind.
I never saw him play as a junior but I can't think of a more balanced natural crumber on the list. I also think he's got lots of inside ability despite his size and limited minutes there. He's definitely a midfielder at heart but there's a long list ahead of him for those spots at the moment.
Some interesting posts in this thread - particularly the observations on the differences between watching live and on TV. I've been saying it for years but the camera operators need to be in a position where they can shoot a lot wider than they currently do - very hard for people who are new to...
Was it the same field umpire who made the initial call who asked for the review?
Appalling execution of the review process and part of the reason I only watch Collingwood games these days.
He was drafted as a selfish player then spent 2013-14 overcompensating by not looking to attack enough. He has balanced that out now thankfully has returned to only pretending he's considering passing it when he's within 60m.
Exciting changes, I mean come on people, Ben Reid is back in for game 100! Great to see Marsh force his way in as well.
Amusing reading the debate over the ruck situation - it almost seems like the selection committee has been giving the people what they've wanted over the past few weeks by...
I was heartbroken as a child when Sav left but for me it's a tie between Leon and Andrew Krakouer. Leon because I felt like he still had a lot left (can anyone recall any other players retiring/not getting re-signed after an AA year?) and had formed a strong emotional connection to the various...
Very interesting changes - what I like most about it is that it allows Jamie to play his best position - CHF. Keep Moore at FF and let Jamie off the leash to roam.
Surely Fasolo's last chance to make an impact if he wants to keep his spot.
I haven't thought he's been that bad this year and if anything is playing his best football since coming back from his knee. It's a bit strange reading how disappointed people are with his form, what are they expecting Toovs to play like?
I'm really glad they're is opting to play both young rucks as they develop into the most dominant combo in the league, surprised some supporters are suggesting otherwise.
