I know you were not suggesting that, I was simply having a stir.:D
But seriously I agree with you, the answer is to get the umpires to throw the ball up, after all they are there to interpret the rules, why do they have to display a difficult skill as well?
It was a lucky break to Simpson no doubt, but given the shape of the ball and the fact that umpires like players fatigue and lose their skills as the game goes on, we either put up with poor bounces on occasions, or get the umpires to throw it up every time.
We can't call back poor bounces...
Great player, I was very disappointed when he left the Roos, especially after winning the B&F.
But I understood the reasons behind his decision.
Taught Judd ia lesson in more ways than one
Thats what I suggested in another thread yesterday, they should move the ball the wrong way and try to score behinds for the opposition, therefore forcing the other team to win.
Not sure what happens at kick ins though.
I think that both teams should move the ball the wrong way, and try to score behinds for the opposition, that way there will still be a hard at it contest, and the best team on the day will get what they want.....
A loss.:D
Would be an interesting game to watch, not sure what to do with...
When will Collingwood have the decency to actually tell their players that they have done the wrong thing and need to take the appropriate punishment rather than making stupid excuses for them?
There is goin to come a time when this policy comes and really bites them on the 'rse.
There are only two sides in it.
Geelong because they are clearly the best side side in the comp, although anything less than a premiership from here will be a disaster,
and West Coast who should now finish top 4 and have 2 home finals before the big one.
Therefore grand final = Geelong...
IT looked terrible
never looked at the ball, lined Bell up and hit him hard.
Must get 6 minimum for the AFL to make a statement. We don't need that sort of dangerous crap in the game
I'll admit it. I don't like him, I don't hate him because I don't know him as a person, but as a footballer, i think he is someone who has had their tyres blown up way too early and has fallen for his own hype. He wants to take the big grab or kick the miracle goal, when at the moment...
I'll be there, standing room only left.
Will be a great game, but Hawks would be slight favs. considering how well they play down here and how poorly the Roos have played against them recently.
just goes to show that regardless of how much the experts think they know and want to sit around talk about it...
It's on the ground where it really counts
