    Game Day Round 17, 2024 : Geelong v Hawthorn, 4:35pm GMHBA stadium

I add my voice to the chorus asking for straight kicking. Not only is that key in itself, it will help us rise above the massively pussy-centric officiating that's inevitably coming in this game. They get the best of it at the best of times, let alone in front of their home ferals....

Player Watch Welcome to Hawthorn, James Worpel, pick #43 2017 - Peter Crimmins medalist 2019

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn : Nick 'the Wizard' Watson!

You wait, in the not too distant future, in a similar number of games, that will be 17-6.

He'd have a lot of knowledge to impart.

Because, as I said before, we don't know which Mitch we're going to get, the on that could clunk 10 towering grabs and kick six, or the one that mopes around barely getting near it.

Buddy says he’ll come back to footy some day, would we want him back at the mighty Hawkers in some capacity? Did some wonderful and magnificent things in our colours, but then kinda abandoned us (not exactly in our hour of need, we won the next two flags without him.) I find it interesting...

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn: Pick 18, Josh Weddle

Imagine if Weds does develop the way we think he will, and does move into the midfield. That midfield will go from formidable to unstoppable: Day, Duke, Worps, Nash, Weddle, the mind fairly boggles....

Whatever happens this week, win, lose or draw, just remember: they haven’t beaten us in a knockout final since 1963….

If we bring the high-pressure, quick ball movement style of play that we've been doing so well in recent weeks, AND finish well (which we haven't), we'll do them I reckon. If only one of those is missing, they do us, and it could blow out if we let it.

So if MLewis doesn’t come back in, does Calsh stay (is he injured?), or do we maybe give Scaifey a crack?

Which Mitch are we going to get though, the one who could potentially be one of the most damaging key forwards in the game, or the total liability???

Coach Sam Mitchell's direction for the club and 2024 news

Just read something very eye-opening, apparently we are the 'are the only team in football history to be in 13th with a positive win-loss record, according to Champion Data.' 😯🙀

Review The most idiotic media call about Hawthorns rebuild

Who said 'Tassie will win a flag before Hawthorn do"? The worst thing about it is that people blindly and mindlessly swallow it. The second Barrett said Hawthorn was 'tanking' was the same second there was a thread on the main board asking 'is Hawthorn tanking?' Many people are unable to...

Coach Sam Mitchell's direction for the club and 2024 news

Earlier in the year I stated that I hoped the core of this midfield would all click together at some stage, I reckon today was the first time we truly saw it: Day, Duke, Worps and Nash, all over 25 possies, and all had big impact. Just beautiful.
