I think there should be some sort of buffer given to the team coming up with the points systems (an extra 5-10 points) to ensure that they can bring in some quality players and be competitive. As it is a big jump from Div 1 to Premier, nobody wants to see clubs coming up and getting smashed...

I reckon all these people who are 'umpiring bashing' should consider actually umpiring a game themselves and see how they go. I'm sure there would be members in the crowd the wouldn't agree with every decision they make.

Scoreboard stay as it is the league deals with this during the week, not a things for the umpires on the day to do, they take note of the score and time of game and headcount numbers

So you think 2 clubs in Div 1 to have 10 teams Div 2 to have 9. Assuming Parkside is correct do they slot into Div 2 as well? Old Essendon would be a eye opener for them with player payments coming into calculation for the club.

I believe it is more of the all teams in or no teams in rule. If Coburg were to come in they would need to feild all of their teams in the EDFL not just the juniors. The same would apply to teams such as St. Bernard's and Sunbury if they wanted to join. They would need to come to the party...

Abers could be straight sets. I'm saying that finishing 3rd could be better than finishing 2nd. I reckon whichever team, (Abers, PV or GV) lose the 2nd Semi Final will go out in straight sets.

Maybe finishing 3rd would be better for Greenvale. Likely to get an 'easier and softer' semi final against a weaker 4th placed then then play a team coming off a hard and physical semi in the Prelim the week after.
