Preview AFL Round 3 - Geelong v Carlton, Etihad Stadium, 7:40PM Saturday 13 April

Putting aside potential match ups, if the MC ever considered playing Brown, now is the perfect time, with riv out. I could understand leaving him out being the extra tall on the chopping block match up wise, but if dropped based on his output last game that'd be a bit harsh. He by no means had...

    Toast Josh Caddy

Caddy's still a kid, plenty of time to develop attributes like endurance and explosive speed. Strong young man, should be a contested beast ala Selwood in the not too distant future hopefully. Selwood's like a hare, extremely quick over that first 20 metres from a standing start.

Review AFL practice match autopsy - Geelong defeats Collingwood

Same socks vinum. Varcoe's pace compresses the s*** out of em is all.

    Kicking techniques

Excellent read and point Vinum. Chappy appears to predominantly generate most of his kicking power though the acceleration of his right leg from what i've seen on the telly. Could well be the reason for his frustrating hamstring troubles.

    Podsiadly's Coleman Medal chances

Re: Pods for Coleman? Also have to consider a potential 'general soreness' in the next few rounds coming up for the jpod as well.

Preview AFL Round 15 - Essendon v Geelong, Etihad Stadium, 7:10PM Saturday 2 July

That sort of analysis is somewhat illogical. It's like saying if A beats B, and C is better than A, C should beat B by a larger margin than A did. That's assuming A,B and C play consistently the same every week, which doesn't happen in Alphabet land or the AFL;)

    Travis Varcoe

Re: Calls for Varcoe to be dropped Conversely dropping a bloke after his best game in weeks, i think sends the wrong message to TV and is a real kick in the pants confidence wise. Current form should be rewarded, and based on his game yesterday he stays in the team as should Bundy. Given...

Oppo Camp 2011 non-Geelong AFL match and general discussion

Re: Is Alan Didak the most overrated player in the AFL? One journo's opinion, who gives a s***. Can't get all flustered from someone's opinion especially sheahans;)

Preview AFL Round 15 - Essendon v Geelong, Etihad Stadium, 7:10PM Saturday 2 July

Re: bury them bah, seems like desperate fans clinging to a faint thread of hope as they slip away from the top eight. A drubbing from the dawks and the fact they'll be on very shaky ground top eight wise if they lose to the catters should be motivation enough for good sides, but they're...

AFL Round 13 match discussion - St Kilda v Geelong

Re: Match Day thread - St.Kilda vs Geelong perhaps expecting a late change for Christensen i presume?

    Plan B

Honestly, i don't think that was the plan. Pods and Mooney were forced up the ground mainly cause our halfbacks failed to link up with our midfield. So often we looked flat footed and stuck trying to find a target to link up with from halfback. Definitely agree with wojo in the side, his...

    Roast Maxwell's big mouth

yes because war can be readily equated with (by comparison) an utterly meaningless game.
