Match Day Thread 1st May vs Pies Round 6

This is ridiculous, let's face it this group will not win us a grand final and especially not this year. Play the kid's.

Match Day Thread 1st May vs Pies Round 6

Gee, a score would be nice.... I do think Jones has looked rather good today though.

Round 3 Vs Gold Coast - Selection Table

I'd like to see this eventuate- IN: Wallis OUT: Stack or Djerrkura.

    In Wallis Minson Moles Roughy

It's good to see we stuck with Jones in the starting 18. He's definitely going to be a player and I think the coaching staff have alot of faith in him it seems. My interchange bench would go on the lines of.. Ward, Liberatore, Roughead (Capable forward more so than Minson). Sub- Wallis.

Review Match Day thread - Dons vs Dogs

Sherman should have never been the sub. We recruited him to eject some pace (which we lacked again today), how could he make a real stamp on the game in a quarter and a bit.

Round 2 Vs Brisbane - Selection Table

We looked slow today. I think we need to take a chance at the selection table (for once) and bring some pace and spark into the group- Skinner, even if not ready will give us a contest in our forward fifty at least. Thoughts?

Meet the Bulldogs Draftees 2010 - Youtube Vid

Tom Hill looks to have a nice grab. Really impressed with Scofield and Zephi's defensive pressure.

    Draft Profile Michael Talia

Seems to have some talent and very agile, wouldn't mind to see the dogs have a look at him in the 2011 Draft.

    Captain - Still no clues?

Higgins keen on the job, and i wouldn't mind seeing it! http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/106073/default.aspx

    Tall Defender Depth

I feel as though Barlow is an replacement for Everitt, they both could be extremely exciting if they just had more aggression towards the ball. If Barlow can find that, he could develop into a fairly good third tall rebounding backman, if we choose to play him there.

    Rookie (emergency list) Draft

What's with us selecting kids under the height of 179cms as of late, since Clayton has moved on we have been all about the short people.

    Rookie (emergency list) Draft

Oh also i think Michael Talia is not eligible for 2010, a year too young perhaps.

    Rookie (emergency list) Draft

Ben Haren, looks quick for his size and competitive. http://www.afl.com.au/News/NEWSARTICLE/tabid/208/Default.aspx?newsId=104434

    Pick 88 Zephi Skinner

I would think we would want to play Hill more so on the wing, where he started off and rotating through the forward line with Skinner.
  16. J

    Draft

Skinner seems like the one that really excites. And i guess i can see the logic in Hill, if we were going to develop him as a tall backman but reports are that we see him as a forward..

    Those who missed out

Also Max Otten i believe didn't get a go either.

    Draft

Josh Mellington seems keen to come to us and we have been reported as showing interest. http://www.bordermail.com.au/news/local/sport/football-australian-rules/mellington-hopes-dogs-bite-at-draft/2000900.aspx

Who will break out in 2011??

Ayce Cordy for mine. He's had some time out to bulk up and he'll be ready to expolde.
  20. J

    Steven Dodd - Mature Rookie?

What about Ed Barlow? Thought he looked impressive at times!
  21. J

    Confident about 2011

I think Cordy will play 5-8 games next year, seems Eade is VERY keen to blood him! And i'm excited to see what he can do. Along with Jones, Wood, Wallis and Libber (i could name 4 more), we have a fine breed of bulldog coming through!
  22. J

    Key Position Succession Planning

I think we expect Cordy to play a fair bit up forward in the coming years, as well as Roughead. But i do believe we are in need of a young KPD to take over from Lake.

    2010 AFL Draft Order

Not much excitment on Draft Day with those picks. Although Wallis and Libba are thrilling enough, they should play quite a few games next year :).

    Sherman a Dog!

Very excited to have him at the Dogs, he is exactly what we needed. Now we don't have to just rely on Cooney and Griffen for the spark and run. Good addiction, i say!
  25. J

    Hahn's role in 2011

Completely agree, he'll be our back up, just in case we endure a few injuries like this year. But i would much rather get games into the younger guys.

    Round 1 2011 Team - Predictions

Re: Round 1 2011 Team I think we need to give them a go first up, other wise what was the point of trading for them. All three address a need, so why not give them a go and see what they can do. I agree with Reid though, i'm a massive fan, but he's fighting for a position with the like of...

    Last Day Trades

Hill to Hawthorn for Pick 37. Yes i do know Hawks have stated they are not fond of giving this pick up, but i still have the thought they will buckle!

    Wood and Roughie!

Welcome to the kennel Patty Vez

He fit's our need for a small forward, where as Everitt didn't have a fixed position. And atleast he plays aggressively, it seems.
