Re: AFL Round 5 - Collingwood v Essendon - Changes and Prematch Discussion
Bout time we opted for a smaller forward line! Carlton do it! We did it in 2010.. Cant have Jackson Paine crumbing off Dawes and Cloke doesnt work.
Re: AFL Round 5 - Collingwood v Essendon - Changes and Prematch Discussion
IN: N.Brown & Ugle
OUT: Paine & Young
Great to see Kirk Ugle, all the best to the Jet
Didak i think will be another week away, would be very suprised if he pops in late.
Saw a name for West Preston Dan Bisetto from Coburg, key position backman and kept Cloke to 3 in round 1 (despite a flogging). 21 yr old good body. Left the tigers this season and has injected some skill and experiance to Wests already impressive line up.
Cotchett and Bards proving to be a...
Dean Haydock has obviously got the PH boys firing, was an old PE teacher of mine and a cracking bloke, good to here his spreading his vast footy knowledge in the lower divisions and i hope he has set it up so alot more like him do this.
Resa boys looked very solid on the weekend Watsonia very...
Healthy win to Watsonia this weekend V Surrey Park. 19s by 9 goals and the seniors by 8 goals.
SP not much opposition but very good to get a few wins on the board before round 1. J.Bennett showing that he can be a top player in the comp. With a few of his mates playing well.
Ready for West...
Big game this week can't wait. Missing Didak, Johnson, Tarrant, Brown, Wellingham.
Still very strong side and will definetely give it a red hot crack.
Backs: A.Toovey L.Keefe T. Goldsack
Half Backs: H.Shaw B.Reid H.O'Brien
Centres: Thomas Pendlebury Rounds
Fowards: Fasolo Cloke Sidebottom...
Im not to sure who Resa played this weekend but was talking to a bloke from the EDFL club they payed saturday (cant remember the club HAHA) and he said Resa looked really good. Anyone clarify this would be interesting to hear who the side was, if i hadnt had 12 pots i would be able to remember...
Re: Sidebottom's role in 2012
Midfield.. Fowardline...
He is a very high skilled footballer, who is a big stage player.. It is this year that players like Him, Beama, Blair establish themselves as senior footballers ( they have done alot for guys there age) just need to take it to the next...
Its going to be a very exciting year.. I dont know about you but I just got my membership and am hanging for Round 1...
Can i just say how good is it, not being in the media every second page...
Nap Cup Success or not, theres a reason why it's been branded the who cares cup. Its just to get...
1. West Preston - Strong side with a ton of big inclusions. Will be the side to beat this season.
2. Heidelberg - Always will be strong. Will also take a ton of beating
3. Bundoora - Champions will have a rocky start but finish off strong. (big chance for back to back)
4. Montmorency - Big...
Really liking the looks of Monty at the moment, Dean Limbach and Pettifer will do damage.. West Preston, Greensborough, Heidelberg and Bundy will all be amongst it
Watsonia Played coburg districts on the weekend.. Coburg had made the top four last year in Div 2 WRFL (Not saying thats a high standard). They were a very fair opposition though! Both Watsonia sides fell short by a few goals 3-5ish. But with 2 squads of 26 or so and 7-8 more players to come...
Zaharakis will ave 100 and probably be top 15 fwds, and i think Jordan Lewis will also ave mid 100-110 as a goal kicking midfielder. Chapmen would be your only choice i reckon to upgrade but, Harvey has his ?? and Beams well he has fitness issues but could be alright.
Luke Rounds would be perfect, Yagmoor will be introduced slowly. At the moment DT has it and will probably stay there, also Wellingham in spurts for a breather.
Marty Clarke???
Will be interesting to see Ugle run around, heard big wraps on the kid and there is definetely a spot open in the side with the absence of krakour and no more Dick. Its time to shine young fella. Marley Williams also falls under this category, wont play much this season i would say but is...
I know Watsonia have North Coburg it think it is in their first match...
Will be interesting to see how the new faces from greensborough go and also the young players.
DPfeiffer will probably ave 13.. but is a risk as he could also end up like Lower from Freo but i dont think his half the player. Robbie Gray also a guy is ready for a big 85-100 ave year, will be hard seeing he plays for the 17th best side in the comp.
The rookie selections will be hard mate as no one will know untill Round 1 but, if you can find out the mature age rookies especially at melbourne GWS GC etc.. then put them in best chance.
Im not a big fan of picking blokes that are coming back from big knee injuries, id get rid of Barlow and...
West Preston have gained Kris Bardon, this guy is one of the best local footballers i have watched, played at Marcellin and also one 3 B&Fs in a row at Vermont a Div 1 Eastern club. Massive in down at the roosters and will add some more pace and skill to their Midfield.
Pretty spot on there, all well and good saying that clubs will be good but in the end of the day its the same dribble talked every year that we picked up this bloke or they picked up that bloke, but still sides like Watsonia and Heidelberg West (who by the way its great to see new players down)...
