Rate my SuperCoach team 2012

Backs are looking solid. I'd look at downgrading either one of Thompson, Thomas or Rockliff to either a player like T Mitchell or a GWS rookie. Then upgrade one of them to someone like a Swan. Although, all three players are good unique choices. With the money left I'd upgrade either Christensen or Porplyzia to a premium but that's just me.

Obvious weaknesses are Lake and Brown (both old and coming off injury). Thoughts?

Backs - Shaw will give you headaches all year with the 60's he will pump out when being tagged. I think Enright will probably start to go downhill, probably still produce alright scores but won't hold his value. I'd also go Ellis instead of Morris, Morris has never been a great fantasy scorer and will more than likely be playing a lock down role on small defenders.

Mids - Looks OK, I'd go 4 premos in the middle as it's where the best scores come from but it could work.

Ruck - Fine.

Forwards - Pavlich has been playing that deep forward role in intra club matches and is a fair chance to slide this year. Chapmans getting old, dodgy hammys, Cats will surely slide. Wouldn't bank on Smedts getting early games. Get rid of Folau, much better rookie options with higher scoring potential. Zorko just got injured, maybe a downgrade target.

i would down grad 2 mid pricers in each position and get a rookie premium happening

There are better bench rucks in giles/orren. Forward trails off big time after Buddy/Fyfe.

Nice midfield. Will earn you lots of points.

4 cheapie backs on field is high risk.

Looking at yuor team i'm wondering why you dont have 500k left in the bank.

Dump Winders for starters and maybe Maccaffer even though you could talk up the latter.

Some huge risks in the back line. Lake, Drummond, Grimes. I'm rolling teh dice with Grimes but I won't be doubling down with the other two. Better options than Broughton at this stage.

Good rucks.

Fwds are a good too if we were playing 2010. Pav, Roo, & Brown have probably had their best years and it might be worth looking elsewhere. By all means, pick one or two of them but all 3 + Chappy is a little bit of a worry.

Van Berlo is a big call in the mid field. Can't see him delivering TBH.

How does having buddy & Rioli stack up in that fwd line with the byes? Something to consider.

Loving that back line.

Thomas is a big call in the mids. Think you need an MPP def/mid if you're going to have that backline loaded with so many of them.

Cracking ruck combination. Expensive too. Very rookie orientated fwd line. Not a bad strategy but I guess time will tell.

A lot of Fwd/Mids in the forward line and a lot of Def/Mids in backline.

I like Smedts and to make use of his Fwd/Back status I put Jayden Post in the back line who has the same status so that they can swap around. Post should hold down a key backline spot and play all games but his ability to score well is a worry. Only other option besides the dogs rookie Redpath is that cokehead from Freo Michael Johnson...but he is another 150k on top of Post.

I had Dids instead of Shaw but heard he did a minor hammy. Happy with hurn because he kicks and has great efficiency. Hope Stiffy hasn't been eating too much turtle in the off season!

$250k in the bank is far too much. It's points lost for no reason when rookies jump in price and massive premiums drop. I would spread the 250 and save the trades by getting in the serious locks to begin with then. Depending where you look too with a rookie starting in ruck I would select and ultra premium over kreuzer. He is a good second ruck option. I'd also look at using that spare change to improve Malceski and turn Thomas into one of his better team mates. Swan or Pendlebury.

I personally wouldn't touch waite.

I'm not even going to bother posting my team or changing it again until I see some preseason form.

Mids: i like swallow as he's a more unique pick however someome like selwood has more scoring potential imo. someone like rockliff may also be a possibility, just watch these guys over the nab cup and pick the one that looks ready to fire
Ruck: no great problems here although imo cox will not perform to the level he did last year and as such is a little overpriced. someone like mumford has the same scoring potential but a smaller price tag
Forwards: imo this is your weakest area. for me both reiwoldts and brown are players who 'might' score those premium scores. i would maybe look at some small forwards like rioli or johnson who might get more time im the midfield instead as they traditionally score more than the big fellas

as for the roookies some pretty solid choices but of course there selection will depend on the nab cup so i wont comment atm. overall a solid team which with some smart trading has potential to score well week to week

MMM... Post might end up getting the flick. I want grimes in if he shows he is firing. Definately be picking Stevens. Might swap Morabito for another rookie who shows form in NAB. I'm warming to sidebottom. Might swap cloke for Buddy if i can find the $$$ to not be so Collingwood heavy. If Delideo shows he is over the hammy i'll get im in for Shaw and then consider Marty clarke. Definately picking the big Berger. Sandi is a maybe. As a WCE fan i normally have Cox but I expect Nic Nat to take more game time off him and they might manage Cox morely closely with Lycett coming through (massive wraps from Woosh) so you might see big Dean rested for a few games.
