WELL DONE CATS ! (& DEES!). It must be noted they did make us suffer an excrutiating last 2 minutes. Can't believe we are now in! Good opportunity to have a good game this week (no pressure - maybe rest a couple?), & have a good crack the week after. GO DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't worry Cats fans, theres always next year (sounds familiar doesn't it!!). Lets face it, not good enough & too soft. Didn't deserve to make the finals! Oh well, always got the Wizard Cup flag 2006 to celebrate!
Re: Listening to Smorgans Rhetoric, one would think that the weak clubs will be fine.
The government and AFL would continually invest in the Bulldogs (and other clubs) if they didn't believe that they have a viable future
All clubs contribute to TV money and don't give me this rubbish...
How can you question D Smorgan credentials. He is an extremely successful business man (one of the richest in the country) and has done a wonderful job keeping the club viable in the past few years (you can go on about the 1M handout, but how does the club raise its other 19M in revenue)
Pull...
I know that everyone (including myself) was feeling about down after last weeks reality check...it is now Tuesday (over it) and I'm looking forward to the Saints this weekend.
I have watched a bit of the Saints this year and I honesty believe that we will have too much pace for them...
I understand that Brown leaving has opened up our salary cap to enable pay rises to up and coming young players....however, I often wonder how good we would be with our current side with a fit N Brown (be cllose to premership favourites I'd say)...oh well you can't look back and I am very...

Half Back
Did your Adopt-A-Dog suffer any injuries in this game:
No physical injury, although suffered a major brain explosion in the second quarter
Comments on your player's performance:
Solid performance on the day...
As Rocket said 'the game is played on the ground, not in the papers'. For mine, I think it is great that Griffen has the confidence in his ability to say these things (although I am sure he will be more careful going forward) and secondly if Richmond need a 19 yo kids comments to fire them up...

Solid game, versatile, picked up 16 positions - took good care of the ball with no noticeable turn overs and demonstrated...
Re: Which one of these players has the best chance of winning the 2006 Brownlow Medal
However, when the Hawks are winning 10+ games - the likelihood of other players playing well is greater (Hodge is currently a gun in a poor/developing side) and the votes will be shared around more
Half full view - we still have the full squad of players that played Rnds 16-22 last year
Half empty view - cannot afford any injuries to talls (have absolutely no back up). Odds are against this happening
Should finish around the mark (10-12 wins) - was thinking 14-15 2 weeks ago
When you analyse our list closely, we have not got many good size players 190cm or above. In fact, if (heaven forbid) Grant or Harris went down we would be in bottom four calculations.....
Here is my best team
B: Gilbee Harris Morris
HB: Hargrave Morgan...

I agree SEN waffle and spend long periods of time on sports of little interest. I don't think that on the whole basketball gets a good coverage - give them a break, the Bogut story was great for Aust bball.
How much time do SEN spend on English soccer!
Have it on good authority that we will pick 2 recycled players in Dec draft - I guess Monty and Haynes are the preferred 2 (probably PODS also competing)
Re: Jade Rawlings A Roo
He is the footy manager, not president
Latest reports - Richmond have taken his whole contract (hence swap for high draft pick as trade off)
Re: Jade Rawlings A Roo
They were both going to be de-listed anyway - so we are actually saving money. I doubt very much that we will be paying for most of Bowden's contract
Re: Monty should come back!
Must remember that he didn't break into seniors until 24 years of age, he could probably play another 2 years....we need to seriously contend in 2007 as we will have a number of players nearing retirement (Grant, West, Smith, Johnson, etc).
I say get him with...
It is a good deal because Eade can't stand his lack of courage and effort - he was going to be de-listed anyway (and Bulldogs would have had to pay out his contract)....that said, he has shown that he has ability (very frustrating footballer) - may be worth a punt for the tiges
Waste of time - we shouldn't be paying anything
I have asked this question before - what does kmac bring to the table? He is prob the worst player on the list
Interesting to guage reactions...
We won 11 this year, I would hope we could win 14-15 and push for a top 4-5 finish - have been told by a number of supporters that this is being far too optimistic?
