Your Adopt-A-Dog:

Adam Morgan

Position/s Played:

Tall Forward

Did your Adopt-A-Dog suffer any injuries in this game:

No

Comments on your player's performance:

Spent a lot on time on the bench but really put in when he was on the ground. Wouldnt have racked up the stats but was a significant factor in the win. Provided virtually the only defensive pressure in the first half. If Morgs can start to kick a few goals he could well be the option we have ben waiting for.

Good to see my old adopt-a-dog Morgo having a good year thus far.

Your Adopt-A-Dog:

Adam Cooney

Position/s Played:

Midfield/forward

Did your Adopt-A-Dog suffer any injuries in this game:

No, but he's clearly still not quite fit.

Comments on your player's performance:

A bit disappointing. He's got a bad case of the fumbles and isn't as fit as he was last year. I suspect his hamstring injury pre-season may be responsible. Still, he put a lot of pressure on and managed to finish with two goals. Has a lot of improvement left in him and will hopefully get back to his best after a few more matches.

Your Adopt-A-Dog:

Daniel Cross

Position/s Played:

Midfield

Did your Adopt-A-Dog suffer any injuries in this game:

No

Comments on your player's performance:

Another solid game from Crossy. Won plenty of contested possessions and generally used it well. His kicking was again good and drifted forward to kick a goal. Laid 7 tackles as well and won a couple of frees.

Your Adopt-A-Dog:

Chris Grant

Position/s Played:

Both in defense and up forward

Did your Adopt-A-Dog suffer any injuries in this game:

No - although at one stage thought he had done a hamstring

Comments on your player's performance:

Chris Grant had a very good game today. He was everywhere, in defense and also had a stint in attack. Kicked one goal himself after taking a great juggling mark and also contributed to a few goal assists. Was solid in the back line and at some stages of the game played a loose man in defense.

Mitch Hahn

Position/s Played:

Midfield/Forward

Did your Adopt-A-Dog suffer any injuries in this game:

No

Comments on your player's performance:

Fantastic game by Mitch. Once again, his work to bust through the packs is an absolute standout. Kicked a brilliant goal, had 14 possessions, laid a couple of magnificent tackles. He provides a fantastic contrast to our other midfielders. He gives us that bit of mongrel that's so important to successful sides.

Comments on your player's performance:

Didnt get alot of the pill. Played on Robbo who has killed us in recent times. Although Robbo got a few goals, he did not have an influence on the match, mostly thanks to Dale.

Impact player off bench

Did your Adopt-A-Dog suffer any injuries in this game:

Comments on your player's performance:
Kicked a great goal from outside 50 that just cleared the line. Ignored leading man in pocket, so great to see him kick it. Apart from that foot skills were terrible at times, missing a leading man twice in about 5 minutes. Lazy play put Gian in trouble at one point and doesn't do the gut running. I am really struggling to come to grips with this as i love Bubba to bits.

Your Adopt-A-Dog:

Lindsay Gilbee

Position/s Played:

Half Back

Did your Adopt-A-Dog suffer any injuries in this game:

No

Comments on your player's performance:

Lindsay played a very serviceable game. Although he hasn't been as prolific as last year this is perhaps because of the more attention he gets. However he still hurts the opposition badly with his possesions and 15 Gilbee possesions is like 30 of many others. Just didn't waste the ball against Dees. Loved his run and bounce to set up Robbins goal in last quarter. This is what Gilbee does, sets up goals.

Is it too late to adopt-a-dog?

What do I have to do??

Hi Fat Smitty,

There are a few posters that haven't posted about their chosen players for the first two rounds....if I don't hear from them by tomorrow evening, there might be a few dogs up for re-adoption. I will PM you if any become available.

Your Adopt-A-Dog:

Ryan Hargrave

Position/s Played:

Half Back

Did your Adopt-A-Dog suffer any injuries in this game:

No physical injury, although suffered a major brain explosion in the second quarter

Comments on your player's performance:

Solid performance on the day, although must learn to control his frustrations.
Hargrave is very important to the side, can take the number 2 tall forward which frees up Grant and also has the quickness to play on a small.

Rating your player out of 10:[/QUOTE]

I am giving him a 2 purely because he let the side down through his actions in this game and will miss critical games against Essendon and Geelong

Your Adopt a dog

Scott West

Position/s Played:

Midfield

Did your Adopt-A-Dog suffer any injuries in this game:

No, but came into the game with an injury concern in his leg and it is believed that is why he didnt kick the ball so much but rather had so many handballs.

Comments on your player's performance:

Alot more handballs then kicks but benefited the team just as much.
Another very solid performance by the great man. Should rack up a brownlow vote or 2 for this game.

Your Adopt a dog: Ryan Griffen

Position/s Played: Midfield & Backline

Did your Adopt-A-Dog suffer any injuries in this game: No

Comments on your player's performance: Keeps doing his thing. Sooner or later I suspect we'll see him dominate. Been consistently good in the first 2 rounds, showing plenty of promise on the back of his fantastic 2005.

Your Adopt a dog: Brian Harris

Position/s Played: Backline

Did your Adopt-A-Dog suffer any injuries in this game: No - although he did collide with Brad Johnson at some stage during the match. Got back up though and seemed OK.

Comments on your player's performance: Once again, Brian was solid. Not as good as last weeks performance, but nevertheless, the man did his job. Good work.

Comments on your player's performance:

Typical 'Freight Train' Matty Robbins.. Chased, tackled, harrassed and kicked 3 goals to boot. Only credited with 3 'official' tackles, but scragged and busted open a couple of packs. Body work and physical presence was enormous.

Comments on your player's performance:

It's my pleasure to report on the man of the match. Finally us Doggie fans are starting to see what this kid is really capable of!! I was laughed at a while ago when i said throw him up forward and use him as a secret weapon. That laughter has been drowned out by the barrage of marks and goal that this young dynamite produced on the weekend. He was outstanding and apart from Scott West (surprise surprise) was the most influential player on the park.

Your Adopt-A-Dog:

Jordan Mcmahon

Position/s Played:

backline

Did your Adopt-A-Dog suffer any injuries in this game:

Sore left foot. Sure all those precise long left foot passes must be taking their toll

Comments on your player's performance:

Well, I took Jordan as my adopt a dog this year because I used to be this man's most harshest critc. All that ability and pretty must useless for a while. Now he has become one of our most vital players and i have never been so happy to eat my words about him. He picked up from where he took off last week. Sweeping accross half back, linking up and delivering the ball with god like precision. Amassed a stupid amount of kicks and i dontthink he had a handball, that two weeks running. To add to this he is becoming much more accountable for his man, which is so pleasing to see. Well done Jordan, you are the most improved player at our club over the last two seasons.
