2019 was a long time ago, of course it can't be only Cams fault but at the end of the day his performances is what determines whether or not he deserved a new contract.
And those performances did not deserve 5 years.. he didn't even show the effort and desire required to try and lead the...
I can't believe people were celebrating when he got this deal, imagine doing nothing of substance and getting a 5 year contract...
Why is everyone so happy that all the losers are signing on?.. So we can tell Kane Cornes there is no mass exodus?.. what a joke a mass exodus is exactly what this...
Mate honestly I'm surprised all the interstate clubs just sit back and take it up the backside every year.. in any other country there would be a war if the final had to be played in the same state which favors certain teams.
I wonder what the win/loss record would be If North had Sicily, Impey, Bruest and Hawthorn had McDonald, Tucker, Fisher and Zurhaar.
This is not to bash the Hawks I think they are doing a magnificent job atm, but it's our senior players who are the problem.
3 of our best 4 players under 25 are...
That's why I said no one is Jordan, at least in my opinion. I honestly think if Duck was a bit more ruthless towards his own teammates (see MJ in the last dance) then he may have got another premiership out of that group, most likely he doesn't lose the 98 GF and he goes down as the undisputed...
In every other sport, championships and being a leader play a massive role on who is the GOAT.
Carey won 2 premierships in a team that could only manage 7th in the season he was injured (He came back and led them to a prelim).
Very similar to Jordan in 94-95.
Duck is the GOAT and it's only some...
As apposed to all our other midfielders who are brimming with confidence.
They lost centre clearances 20-4 last week, they should all be dropped to send a message that those performances are not acceptable.
The cooked Cunnington you talk about is our 2nd best clearance player this year with a...
So you can play Ziebell the hack every week in the backline, but you can't play Cunners in the forward line? We are losing every week anyway, but I'd rather lose for the rest of the year with Cunners jogging around than Ziebell, Hall, Corr and McDonald. He's a fricken club champion
Destroyed in contested possessions and instead of putting on the best clearance contested player of the last 10 years as the sub we have Aiden Corr.. give me a spell I'll take a cooked cunners over all the older players playing today
19 contested possessions, more than other player as well as 10 clearances, with 74% time on ground.
Simpkin, Powell and Zurhaar had 18 contested possessions and 8 clearances combined!!! I forgot they can run cunners can't.
Imagine writing off arguably the GOAT coach because he didn't win premierships after 2015. Chris Scott was given 10 years to get another flag, but Clarko was suppose to get another one for the Hawks by 2021?
Time will tell, but if I prefer not to bet against champions
It's not about what happened on GF day. Other than Ablett's 89 GF neither him nor Carey can claim GOAT status based on their GF performances.
The difference between them is what they did their entire careers and Carey more so than Ablett took his side to success throughout the 90s.
If you...
I remember doing the numbers a while back.
Without Carey from 1993-2001(his captain years) North had a win percentage of 38. With Carey it was around 68%.
And if you took out 1997 which he was underdone due to his shoulder it was not even 20%.
I reckon you will struggle to find another player...
Where did I say all premiership players are better than Ablett?
I said Ablett is not Jordan.
And Geelong did make the finals in 1991 even though he only played 11 games.
The year after his retirement Geelong finished 2nd on the ladder.
Obviously Geelong wouldn't have won as many games...
Ablett can't be Jordan, Jordan got it done on the biggest stage won 6 titles. No one is Jordan in any other sport. Having said that Carey is closer to being the Jordan of the AFL, star of the 90s and took his club to the promise land.
Ablett is more like Allen Iverson or Charles Barkley...
Woke up in the last hour to this glorious news (yes I'm in Europe)
My only other posts where a couple months back to say that we absolutely had to give it everything to get Clarko, words can't explain how I feel now that we have him. Enjoy it Rooboys/girls.
Now off to find someone in Greece...
If you want to be successful you have to demand the best from yourself and others, and you need to go for the best. This guy at this point in time is still the best active coach in football. Just ask him and if he says no then that's fine, but for the love of God, leave no stone unturned.
It's good to see you have taken this attitude. I see too many on this board with a really pessimistic and defeatist view.
So what if we go through 10 coaches as long as of course we find the right one. I see so many supporters in here worrying about what it will look like, who gives a toss what...
Like I said in my previous post, I have been hoping each week that things turn around and that he is the guy to lead us forward. Not sure we can wait for him to get use to being a a coach with JHF already looking pissed off with our performances.
In my opinion the club should be trying...
It's amazing how rhetoric can make things sound much worse than it actually is.
The 3 coaches you are talking about are 1. Scott, who really should've been sacked 2 years prior. 2. Shaw who wasn't sacked by the club, instead he left for personal reasons, hardly the club's fault.. and now...
I reactivated my account for the first time in 8 years just to say how devastated I am to hear about Ben. Easily my favourite player of the last 10 years and equal all time favourite.
I know Cunners has got this and will make a full recovery, sending him and his family love and positivity.
Shaun Higgins March 1988, Age 25, 109 games. Jack Ziebell Feb 1991, Age 22, 74 games. Jack has a couple more years up his sleeve if you want to compare him to higgins. I normally dont post on forums but this had to be said.
