Agree johnno#7: Ovens and Murray League with teams across the river would suggest an Echuca/Moama rivalry in the GVFL makes perfectly good sense.
Off the top of my head they have two on both sides of the river.
Relax Hardballs.
If Jamo got the flick from both Tatura and Wangaratta ... I do not believe that makes Tatura a toxic club. Perhaps Jamo and the the two clubs expectations at the time did not quite align. One club might get it wrong ... but two or more normally do not.
Yeah that would not surprise me. Hoping young Konstas goes well but suspecting Webster might surprise with what looks like a really solid technique. Hopefully he knows how to sweep. As a tall man Matt Hayden made huge runs on turning wickets with that shot. I think Greene got a hundred doing...
Same as always. And it turns from day 1. No huge need for more than two seamers as Webster can play the 'Funky' Miller role in opening the bowling then reverting to spin. I reckon they only will play one of Starc or Boland plus three spinners.
What's going on with Tatura? I hadn't been there for years until last years finals. Huge football facility .. the town is much larger.
I got lost twice getting to the footy ground.
I understand the no High School situation but the population must be larger than Euroa and Rochester surely.
I never thought BBL/IPL was exciting. I have Fox and never watch IPL.
Always been a fan of Test cricket. World Cup 50 over stuff has me somewhat interested.
Cheers
I actually compared him to Peter Toohey and David Hookes. Both were 21-22- ish. Do you know who Peter Toohey is?
Best to read my post prior to getting aggressive.
Webster is a separate discussion.
You keep doing you and I will post relevant comparisons.
Sam Konstas.
He might burn as brightly as Peter Toohey (for those old enough to remember) but unless he tightens his technique he will burn out even faster.
His first Test innings must draw comparisons with David Hookes and his debut in the Centenary Test. Hookes, while a phenon at Shield...
PS. My wife said what about your Bison tattoo?
I said they were stick ons because the Bison was never permanent!
She 'champed' me and told me 'to jog on ...'
Haha. I agree with your first sentence.
The rest of your post pertaining his attitude does not surprise me. I attempt to teach senior students for a living. His attitude is not uncommon in my world.
I think Geoff Marsh averaged 23 over 10 Tests against th might of Ambrose, Walsh, Patterson, et.al
Border was obviously the stand out against the WI during that period.
Marsh averaged 33 for his career. So must have got a few against some other sides. But being mates with Border obviously...
Something stinks in the Stars. Is Peter Moores the same bloke who was involved with England some years back?
Edit. Did my own research. Massive culture problems when he coached England.
