Player Watch Nathan Kreuger (Delisted 2024)

Thought our structure just looked so much better when he came on for Cox. Could be big for us next year if he can look after himself.

Review PF = Sydney 95-94 Collingwood

Don’t really know what to say. So gutted but what a remarkable performance. What a club we are

Autopsy If any of you are still alive we are into the Granny!

Congratulations chaps, you’ve had a fine season and deserve the grand final. Do everyone a favour and beat Geelong now!

Game Day Prelim: Swans v Pies, SCG Sat 4:45

Swans just looking too good atm. Throw the magnets around in the second half and see if we can create history.
  5. The Young Chevalier

    Player Watch Darcy Moore

Seems to not be getting much attention but I thought Moore was fantastic. One of the best games I've seen from a key defender in a long time.
  6. The Young Chevalier

Player Watch Tyler Brown (Delisted 2022)

Probably my biggest Cwood hot take atm is that I think T. Brown could be a 150 gamer for the club.
  7. The Young Chevalier

Player Watch Aiden Begg (Delisted 2024)

Got a good look at AFL level and has showed a bit. Now back to the VFL for the rest of the year at a key position post. Reckon we’ve got something with him.

Unofficial Preview 2022 Mid-Season Rookie Draft

Go for the best player available aged under 21. Don't really mind what position as we have holes all over the park.
  9. The Young Chevalier

Autopsy Round 9 = Collingwood 51-99 Western Bulldogs

A lot of the younger lads struggled but that's something you can live with. The likes of Begg, Poulter, Henry even T. Brown etc having down games isn't the end of the world and is good for development. The senior players are really lettings us down though. Watching the Bulldogs walking it out...

List Mgmt. COLLINGWOOD Trade and F/A Discussion

Possibly the first & only time I've had any sort of intel. Mate of a brother type thing but I know someone who knows Pat Naish and he reckons the Pies are keen to get him in as a DFA. Take with a grain of salt and all that, just passing on what my mate was telling.

Coach Who Should Our Next Coach Be (Poll Updated)

McCrae with Leppitsch and Tapping as assistants will do me nicely
  12. The Young Chevalier

Oppo Camp Oliver Henry (Traded to Geelong 2022)

It was disappointing to see that no senior player stood up for and remonstrated with Laverde for a cheap shot on a kid.

    Opinion 2021 Season Highlights

That win over Melbourne was great, genuinely one of my favourite Collingwood wins of all time. To send off a person who for better or for worse has served the CFC with pride, style and dignity for over twenty years with a fantastic upset win was so good. It encompassed everything I love about...
  14. The Young Chevalier

Player Watch Jay Rantall (Delisted 2021)

One of the better coaching moves this season. I like the concept of giving young mids a tagging role, should be a good development tool. Not convinced Rantall has a long term future yet though.

Game Day Final Round for us! Essendon V Collingwood 3.20 pm

I might be overreacting but… I’m pretty disappointed that no senior player remonstrated with whoever the Essendon recreant was that hit Henry with a cheap shot off the ball. What happened to standing up for your teammates
  16. The Young Chevalier

Player Watch Nathan Murphy (Retired 2024)

Must admit, it is hard to see where Murphy fits into an AFL side moving forward. He's contracted for next year though so hopefully with; A big preseason, a bit of injury luck and a proper ressies comp he'll be a different player.

Ending Essendon's season would be very very sweet

    Autopsy Round 22 = Brisbane 142-57 Collingwood

Was expecting a big loss but still feel pretty flat after that. A not so gentle reminder that we have a long road ahead of us.

    Preview Changes & Pre-match Discussion - Round 22 vs. Brisbane - Gabba, Sat 14/08 @ 7:25pm AEST

Disappointed that Murphy was included over Wilson or Keane. Feel like Murphy got a good bloke of games and didn’t really show much.

    Preview Changes & Pre-match Discussion - Round 22 vs. Brisbane - Gabba, Sat 14/08 @ 7:25pm AEST

Would love to get Wilson, Keane and McInnes in the side somehow and let them play the last few rounds with some freedom. Not sure how it all fits together with Daicos to come in and perhaps only Noble and Thomas in the frame to be omitted though.

Toast Round 20 = Collingwood 90-45 West Coast

Is Ruscoe eligible for a rising star nom?
  22. The Young Chevalier

    Preview Changes & Pre-match Discussion - Round 20 vs. WCE, MCG Sat 31/07 @ 4:15pm

So happy to see Howe back, been a horrible 18 months for him and he’s a big part of our best 22. Honestly I’m pretty confident we’ll win this. Reckon we’ve named a pretty strong side
  23. The Young Chevalier

    Player Watch Finlay Macrae

Honestly Macrae was the young player I was most impressed with. While his kicking was poor he kept finding the ball and also kept going in hard. Given we lost Pendlebury early, Adams was limited in the second half and Port Adelaide have a really powerful midfield I was very encouraged with his game.
  24. The Young Chevalier

Player Watch Anton Tohill (Retired 2021)

Good on him for putting in the hard work to get a game. Not sure if he has a long term future and he wasn't great against Port but you can see what the coaches like: Big lad, decent speed and seems a thumping kick. Again not sure if he will make it but he does have some good raw attributes.
  25. The Young Chevalier

Player Watch Trey Ruscoe (Delisted 2023)

Remarkable how much better he looks in defence
  26. The Young Chevalier

    Preview Changes & Pre-match Discussion - Round 19 vs. Port Adelaide, Marvel Stadium Friday 23/07 @ 7:10pm

Out: Thomas, C. Brown, Murphy In: Ginnivan, Sier, Lynch Grundy starts as CHF with Lynch as centre square ruck, no idea if it will work but we have nothing to lose and Lynch deserves an extended run in the side. I'm not going to write Murphy off but he needs to go back to the VFL, find a...

    Toast Presidency and The Board

Pretty disappointed with how this is playing out. Grown men playing with the CFC like its a toy in what appears from the outside to be nothing more than desperation for personal control of the club. Both the board and the potential challengers are coming off as arrogant, selfish and honestly...
  28. The Young Chevalier

Oppo Camp Max Lynch (Traded to Hawks 2021)

At some point this year I hope we give Grundy and Lynch a block of games playing in the same side. It might not work but it is the only way to know for sure and we have little else to lose.
  29. The Young Chevalier

Player Watch Trey Ruscoe (Delisted 2023)

The contest in the middle of the ground, in which he went harder than Lynch, won the ball and we ended with Bianco running into an open goal was so impressive. Overall Ruscoe looked really hungry for the contest and for the ball, very promising half of footy from him.

    Preview Changes & Pre-match Discussion - Round 17 vs. Richmond, MCG Sunday 11/07 @ 4:10pm

Ah, I suppose it does make sense for Kelly to play back line as we are a bit light on talls. If he does play forward your correct in that forward pressure will be a big challenge.
