Spider Everett’s daughter has signed on with the Sandy women’s. Has a basketball background so perhaps she has inherited the tall genes in that family.
Reminds me of when Jack Hayes came on board. Nobody seemed to know what position he was going to play. He was different and an inbetween build but he showed very early on that he could play. Very disappointed that his career was cut short due to injury
Hall was regarded as the best mid in the VFL when we recruited him mid season. He was injured early, possibly due to the increase in loads from VFL to AFL. When he did play towards the end of the season he showed positive signs but he was limited by the fact he was still coming to grips with the...
Agree re Hanna Priest. She has led the team admiably for a number of years but her skills have dropped right away to the point where she is almost a liability.
If I recall
If I recall part of the agreement with Sandy was that Sandy players could train with the Saints players to improve their skills. There was sometimes up to 6 or so Sandy players training with the Saints last pre season and continued throughout the season.
From what I have observed so far Bolton is intense and very direct in his delivery. Gives immediate feedback, could easily get players offside. Would instil a sense of urgency. Seems to know his stuff though
The new Sandy GM probably had a bit to do with it. Has a good reputation in recruitment and development with Sandy Dragons. Apparently his predecssor (the father of the latest ‘it’ players the Ashcrofts) just let the club tick over without really achieving any effective change

As a general rule they will be training Mon, Wed and Fri I believe.Your safest bet is to contact the club nearer to the time to make sure. They could also be training at another ground or attending a camp etc
His dad is an ex AFL senior player (not St Kilda) so he probably thinks he knows better
He’s a Peninsula boy isn’t he and best mate of Hunter Clark so we have an advantage don’t we?
Can see some wholesale changes to the team for next season. There is talent and youth there but they just can’t click as a team. Sad to see the loss of form of the skipper Hannah, her future must be in doubt. GP needs to get back on the park, she and Smith have real talent, they are our future...
As I said in another post I attended a lot of the St Kilda training sessions, both pre season and in season and in most cases there was, at least one Sandy player and sometimes up to 4, training with the main group. They would sit out match sim but they could still observe. So there are efforts...
I’m confused as what is the real difference between a reserves team and an aligned team. For example Jake Batchelor has been appointed coach of Richmond’s VFL team. He will have Richmond AFL and VFL listed players in his team. He will also be part of Richmond’s broader coaching group. How do...
I attended many of the Saints training sessions this year, both pre season and in season. There always seemed to be at least one and sometimes up to 3 Sandy blokes training with the group. They would drop out when it came to match sim.
the Sandringham Dragons, the best under 18 team, have just won their third grand final in a row. They are literally living under our roof at Moorabbin and we don’t receive any benefit at all.
