I do feel like a fair bit of quality has been lost from the commentators in recent years, just quietly. Dennis, Bruce and even Sandy were all great commentators and have left a bit of a hole in their wake. Huddo really the only one I can tolerate at this point.

Played at DC for several years. Moved to the Columbus area but haven't had much of a chance to get a run in there (due mostly to job commitments during USAFL season more than anything).

All things considered I'm curious what everyone thought of the Cuningham matchup on Dylan Grimes - they were matched up a fair bit. While watching live, was wondering if that was a Carlton gameplan to play him as more of a defensive player on one of their key defenders?

Ripping game. Thought he definitely looked shaky early - there were a few really poor disposals. Then I think late first quarter he had a MASSIVE crunching tackle. That seemed to settle him down and get him right back into the speed of the game.

Agree. Despite all the naysaying about certain players in the midfield (and I'm in no way disagreeing) - we did for mine exceed expectations in center clearances in the game. Smashed them early.

Also....if McGovern could have taken a couple of those huge marks....that would have been massive.

Only quibble from the game I've got on Plowman was the dumb call for handball from Murph who should have had a set shot at goal.

Pretty simple equation tonight once Kreuzer went down. If Levi was on the bench, McGovern had to ruck...which made Jack the tallest forward inside 50. Thought he battled well despite being asked to play a role so far from what he should be having to do.

Underrated by far too many in the comp much less in our own ranks. Walk-up start week in and week out. Just a shame he's 30 now, wish we'd had this bloke a couple of years earlier in his career as well.
