Jack Martin’s wife is a Gold Coast local. They have a child and second on the way. Could be looking for a move back for family reasons. With that in mind he would have to be very cheap to go back to that well.
What would everyone think of filling Clohsey’s opposite wing spot with Bailey Scott rather than a Fiorini and Holman type. Ex GC academy member and Broadbeach junior. Could suns bring him home?
Mentioned on gettable as having a 2yr offer in front of him for a while and no rush to sign.
Which of the UFA and out of contract players could be seen dropping off the list this year?
Even players with 1 year remaining?
The volume of numbers will give Dimma a fair opportunity to quickly shape his roster.
Is it true there are some rookies who must either be promoted/delisted this...
If Ainsworth were to leave would you consider Dusty a good choice to replace him? Dusty may also make the move sweeter for D. Rioli. Who I believe would be a priority target.
Is it still the case that a senior player can be listed as a playing coach with only half salary attributed to the actual salary cap? This could be the case for many new ex-afl recruits.
Walter with 3 in the first and some highlight plays. Couple of good contested marks. Great work rate.
Rogers a goal and in everything.
Read was the dominant ruck that qtr. Pushing forward and also back to help in defence.
I’d say they’d look to re sign rowell and Anderson and front load their contracts to hit the cap floor this year. Then in future years, as you mention, when those two are on a bit less and they other three you said come off contract suns use the space to target more guns.
Personally I would hope the club set the precedent with Touks contract and all the he delivers on and off field for the suns.
Therefore neither Anderson or Rowells contracts should exceed Touks value. I’m not certain what Touk is currently on (850k?). If we can keep them all below that mark...
I’d say it’d be Bowes and 7 for a swap of first rounders. For example St Kilda’s 9, Dogs 11, Geelong’s 18. Plus some other back and forth to even out wherever it lands.
With the talks of Western Bulldogs officials being up on the GC could Bowes + Pick 7 move to the Dogs for Pick 11. Dogs could use Dunkleys contract offer to pay Bowes over the next 2 years.
I wonder, if Suns are able to shed enough money do they throw a little bit more in front of Rankine. Watching him backflip on the Crows after all their posturing would be a laugh.
Also, thoughts on Jayden Hunt as a role player. Fringe best 22 in a successful finals team, would crave more...
