No that’s not quite right. Prices won’t change after Rd0.
However, price changes after Rd1 will incorporate Rd0 scores.
So you can plan ahead. But if a cheap option punches out a monster score in Rd0 you can guarantee everyone will have him.
Based on Warnie’s replies on Twitter I reckon this is 100% on the money. Rd0 ignored, best 18 in early byes, but only 2 trades in these rounds. Makes premos in Rd0 teams very hard to consider starting
Pre-Scratch Match Side. 62k remaining. Feeling pretty good about this though a few players are currently under the microscope (Macrae, Kelly, English, Constable, Ziebell among others)
Preuss has never played more than 5 consecutive games in his career.
Preuss has never played 5 consecutive games in his career. Big ask to expect him to get to 7-8 imo. Also, if he gets injured/dropped/suspended at the 7-8 week period you’re stuffed because that’s upgrade season and it’ll put...
I could be wrong but I thought in some match sims Young was taking majority even w Ryan in the same side. Guess definitely one to watch, but if Young has majority then that’s probably an extra 3 kickins a game on average which is pretty juicy
Pretty reactionary on Young. All preseason he’s been taking the kickouts. Maybe there weren’t many behinds kicked? He’ll be close if not a top 6 defender
I reckon Young and Daicos >> Doch in terms of starting squad options.
Yeah pretty even. Interestingly Green hasn’t entered my calculations all preseason - not sure there was a big correlation between his CBAs and high scoring games. If he’s developed an outside game I’d consider, but I do feel as though he’ll be capped at an optimistic 95 until he has that.
For...
Haha I should’ve been less vocal about Ziebell.
That being said I like this a lot. Only 4 differences in the 22:
Doch -> Young
McKenna -> Constable/Coffield
Green -> Kelly
Drury -> Weddle (through some DPP)
Yeah look I admit it’s definitely a stretch and it wouldn’t be a pick you make with confidence. Has a good fantasy game about him though so worth at least chucking on the watch list. If Weller and Powell both miss the first 3-4 weeks that might be enough time for him to make decent coin
Finn Macguiness for Hawks was used to great effect. Ryan Clarke for Swans (though used exclusively on halfback flankers). Rowbottom and Mills occasionally used to 'cool' midfielders, but generally not deployed as a hard tag.
Demons used Harmes on Neale, not sure if he tagged otherwise though
This is what is putting me off selecting DC (or anyone in a dual-ruck setup). From time to time it could be DC that gets subbed, esp since they like Cox's work at centre bounces
Even so, a 60s guy with the capacity to average 90+ over the first few rounds is a lock in my book. Happy to run with 0 forward rooks on field and have 5 in total. Will have a better idea over the preseason games but he currently sits at F5 between the big 4 and Mclean
Imo Ziebell a much better option. Had him for the last week or 2 and his ownership has started steadily increasing. If Hall isn’t back for Rd1 it makes the decision easier
Would take it with a grain of salt. Everyone has different opinions and no one’s word is gospel. I’m pretty sure last year was the first season he’d finished in the top 1k for any format - albeit he had a cracking season
I imagine with the 4 rookie set up you would have midpricers such as one of Hunt/McKenna/Coffield and Milera.
Quite skeptical on each at the moment. Milera could be okay but not sure he cracks 70 to be honest. Same with Hunt.
I think 5 rooks is the best set up, but Salem’s injury now putting...
