From what I've seen in the match sim this pre-season, I think they want him (DM) as a high half forward more than inside. Last week Croc probably had more CBAs in sim (although both had very few), and while both can play that half forward role, I think DM is slightly better at it, while Croc is...
About the same really, he did one really good thing when he took off with the ball and delivered a massive effective kick down the wing which ended in a goal, but other than that not much to see here
McCabe is looking good, I think he's going to be very solid in the future, did not look out of place at all, held his own and from what I've seen, makes good decisions and uses it well. Ryan didn't pop out to me as much as some other sessions but looked solid too, especially since he was working...
I'd like to think we are finals contending, and I love some of the stuff I'm seeing, but the lack of connection and more importantly consistancy I've seen in the pre-season compared to the top teams sometimes makes me think this year may not be a finals year, just a solid development year. But...
Match Sim Report
6? (I lost track) x 10min periods
An "A" team with the best forwards and a "B" team with the best backs
"A" team mids looked to be Nash, Duke and Ward mostly with Moore rolling through once or twice
"B" team mids was Worp, Frenchie and Hust
Reeves appeared to be #1 "A" team...
Match sim currently under way, to be honest it looks a little rough skills wise so there are definitely things that need to be worked on if we want to go next level this year, but I'm liking some of the young guys, I'll write a summary after it finishes with some observations
Ward started on the A team in match sim, didn’t stop Hustwaite on the B team dominating the clearance and they scored a goal in like 10seconds. Then Frenchie got the second clearance for the B team… maybe they’re the real A team?
I am frothing over CMac this preseason, looks awesome in drills, see what he brings in match sim today. Good to see Ward back on the track, hope his foot problems are gone
Maybe I'm going blind, or I missed it, but I haven't sighted Ward for either the probables or possibles since the first quarter, getting a bit worried for my keeper league team... Can anybody else confirm or deny his disappearance / my eyesight going?
Q2 starting lineup Probables:
BCK: Massimo Frost Serong McCabe Mitchell ?
MID: Worpel Nash Newcomb Morrison (Wing) CJ (Wing) Meek (Ruck)
FWD: Hardwick Chol Lewis Bruest Ginniven Wizard
Moore, CMcDonald, Weddle moved to possibles
Looks like they were trying to balance the teams a bit more and...
Q1 starting lineup Probables:
BCK: Weddle McCabe DGB Serong BMcDonald Ryan
MID: Worpel Nash McDonald (Wing) Newcomb CJ (Wing) Meek
FWD: Hardwick Chol Lewis Moore Ginniven Wizard
They seem to be changing a bit and I was in a work call while watching, so I'm 95% sure...
Hi all, it's my first time posting and was my first time going down to training, I was trying to work while I watched too, so probably missed a bit but the main things I noticed:
Josh Ward didn't train (already been mentioned I know)
Weddle looks like a stud, athletic beast
CJ lined up in the...
