Also, you're obviously not a very good betting man PieMan!
We snipe crows players at the start of the game (and get away with it), not in the fourth.
It helps us win. It's what good premiership teams do :thumbsu:
No wonder you have to line up at Centrelink
You guys are in for a reality check on Friday night. A whole lot of pain after the thrilling elimination final.

Mod edit - post with respect, or don't post.
You guys should start booking flights to Melbourne right now while they are more affordable!
Even if you miss out on ballot/get knocked out in the prelim, an away trip in Melbourne for Grand Final weekend will be a great experience, with the grand final parade and hype/excitement around the city...
All apart of the plan. All of our 78 entries on the weekend will be directed to Buddy. A few midfielders/small forwards will shark a few here in there but Buddy will generate the majority of the score.
On Grand Final day though the gameplan will change. Buddy will play on the half forward flank...
Would it help if I predict that Cyril will have 43 possessions and Selwood will get knocked out in the first minute after trying to headbutt Hodge's knee?
Hi guys.
Good luck for the weekend. This game is shaping as a ripper and looking forward to the challenge.
The best chance the lions have of winning this game (without sounding cocky) is to strangle hawthorn's midfield for the full 4 quarters and hope that our forwardline is inaccurate.
The...
Does anyone think that losing a game maybe necessary nearing the end of the year to keep the hunger alive.
If you look at premiership sides of the past few years they have had one last hiccup on the eve of the finals:
2011 Sydney v Geelong Rd 23 Skilled
2010 Hawthorn v Collingwood Rd 22 MCG
2009...
You are a complete deluded moron and your avatar is proof of this.
Sydney are by far the worst premiership team of this decade.
15-7 with a percentage of 116%. WOW how intimidating
Compared to Hawthorn of 08 with 17-5 and 131%
Not only that "the bloods :o" - least deserved...
Burgoyne, Mitchell, Skipper into the side this time round. 3 handy ins.
We won't be smashed in the clearances this time round.
19 clearances in a game is simply horrible :o.
For this reason the game will be a lot tighter and the ball supply to our forward line will be a lot better allowing us...
I think Buddy is going to be a real barometer in the next few weeks. If he starts firing up he will get the team going and the fans excited. When he starts playing well the team tend to gain a lot of confidence. Hope to see the real Buddy back tomorrow.
I think the speed with which you move the ball affects how you look also. They are simply just playing confident free flowing football. Something we are not doing at this stage.
It seems like an eternity ago that we were beating Melbourne by 80 points in round 1. Did we look slow against them...
As I currently watch saturday night football at the MCG I see a hungry melbourne line up running all over a 4-0 brisbane lions side and I think to myself why can't we play football like this?
What we have witnessed of late has been some mind boggling football from our side. We are so much...
Possible late changes: Rioli, Shiels Out, JKT, Moss In
I don't know how reliable this is but under the AFL Match Centre 2010 stats it doesn't have Rioli and Shiels listed but JKT and Moss have come in.
Can anyone comment on the reliability of this or is the AFL site just predicting that these...
Results are in:
Melbourne v Hawthorn
Winner - Hawthorn
Margin - 56 points
Crowd - 45,615
Leading goalkicker - J.Roughead (3), C.Brown (3)
Leading disposal getter - L.Hodge (34)
Surprise packet - C.Peterson (17 touches and a goal, with all this coming in 1 glorious half of football). Pretty...
I was there and there is no way it was 50/50.
The only areas where there were large contingents of melbourne fans were behind the goals at punt road end and mcc. Practically all the public areas were hawthorn.
I would have thought 30,000 hawthorn fans and 15,000 melbourne.
Melbourne fans had...
What a naive and idiotic post.
Every team has their bandwagon supporters when they enjoy success, who drop off when they aren't going so well.
You wouldn't notice so much with Collingwood as they have the largest following so even in their down times they would still attract a healthy crowd...
How long before you stop pretending to not be a Geelong supporter and in return stop crying about hawthorns 2008 win over the handbaggers you absolute oxygen thief.
Hey all.
Still over a week away but I am getting edgy for the season to kick off.
Let's start with some predictions for round 1.
The person who is closest gets a big :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu: from me :).
Hawthorn v Melbourne
Winner: Hawthorn
Margin: 33 pts
Crowd: 44,385
Leading Goalkicker...
Agreed.
Hard not to be biased but they didn't call Jars the magician for nothing.
The guy could baulk and kick on both sides of the body beautifully.
While not blessed with pace his skill on both sides and footy smarts made him a ridiculously good footballer.
This guy speaketh the truth.
Handbag fans just can't seem to get over their obsession and bitterness towards the mighty hawks. Even after almost 2 years the crybaby pussies will find any excuse to have a go, even when their club itself are tainted bradbury premiers. (Re Stokes)
My vote goes to...
Lol the bitterness from cat fans in this thread is hilarious.
Still sooking after Hodgey receiving the NS ahead of crybaby gary in the 08 grand final.
Time to get over it handbag flogs.
"Never mind the score where is my norm smith wa wa wa :("
I think I know better how we played in the grand final as I can bet I have watched it more than you.
It is widely known that Hawthorn played man-on-man in the GF. Clarkson took the punt on playing contested football instead of the zone which he thought Geelong could break.
Geelong had the better...
Let me rephrase.
If you're going to a kick a winning score, at least 1 forward is going to have to beat their opponent. So whether it's the third best forward, 4th best etc, someone has to stand up.
In other words what you're trying to say is if one of our defenders is beaten on the day it...
