What about Geelong, are they constantly losing possession?
I can't believe people are actually arguing that contested possessions aren't valuable.
They are highly valuable.
You need to be good at many aspects of the game before you have a great team, Richmond may be great at...
Hahaha oh cmon guys I made a good post detailing why Mitchell was better than Foley so at least read it correctly! :p
I believe they are similar players. Both can't kick huge distance, both excellent in clearances and doing the tough stuff, highly respected and great with their hands...
Hmmm..... have they?
:D
Hahahaha bullshit!
Fev was dying to play with his 'best man' Chris Newman and his other mates at Richmond. You would have recieved Pick 8 (Jarrad Oakley-Nicholls) for Brendan Fevola if Denis didn't beg him to stay! :p
I try to watch every game 2-3 times, I love looking at it a little deeper and without emotion on the replays.
I think watching replays is the only way to objectively form an opinion on players. I've found that when I just watch the game my emotions interfere way too much with logic :)
Nobody is clearly better than the other.
As much as I love Foley, Mitchell is currently the slightly better player. He may not be able to break the lines or win a centre clearance, burst forward and kick a running goal... but he does everything else Foley can do and averages slightly higher...
Nope, wrong, sorry! :p
Has put his body on the line time and time again and has been courageous for a number of years.
You are confusing his selfishness for his courage.
He will not hip and shoulder to block for a teammate, or dive to the bottom of a pack and knock the ball to...
At the time he was talked about in the same league of young midfielders as Chris Judd.
I have no doubt he would have been as good as Bartel who is a similar type of player.
I would expect that Warnock will likely warrant a 2nd round pick too, I'm just saying we should try and screw Freo like we do every year :)
Fremantle know that if they don't get a heap of talented kids this year then they're going to be languishing at the bottom of the ladder for two...
Of course, actually, the real answer is Chris Judd.
The players look up to him more than any other player in the comp and respect him for his achievements, hard work and talent.
Skinny, tall, injury-prone, aboriginal teenager.
Say it again.
You're way too premature, I bet you were hoping we delist Jack Riewoldt after last season considering he was the same age as JON?
I signed up an account then registered then I went to sign in and it said my username didn't exist!
So I had to create a second one (bennyfurs1) and by the time I finsihed it was just after 8 :(
A skinny, tall, injury-prone, aboriginal top 10 draft pick begins showing great signs and is in the best players list multiple times just after completing his 2nd season.
And you wonder why people disagree with you?
JON has every chance of being a gun.
3rd hammy this year
Since Cogs had 2 recos at least one of them would have taken part of his hammy to use in his knee, does anyone know if he will be straining it all the time for the rest of his career or does it adapt and stabilise? Seems like a pretty thin thread atm.
I feel bad for...
Half way through the letter I was actually impressed, you managed to sway my opinion. You put forward a good argument, and as a Richmond supporter I can certainly understand the media's need to sometimes blow up a story during a quiet week.
1 month ago Terry Wallace was a certainty to be...
Every other AFL club has officials with a much lower profile than Greg who make comments about team changes.
Your opinion is unfair. Forget the past, the question is did Greg's comments have a negative influence on the club in this circumstance and the answer is clearly no.
He has changed...
He will still be playing, this is Jake King we're talking about :thumbsu:
And I'm serious, he'll play.
Who?
Richo will get 29 possessions, 17 marks and 5 goals if you play Mackie on him
That was a great game to watch. Those centre break clearance burst goals he kicked were in the league of Chris Judd.
Consistently wins a lot of the ball, but doesn't consistently burst out of the centre like Judd used to yet.
Has been working towards this part of the game though and I'd back...
He may or may not play but that article was pretty misleading.
They made it sound like there would be no changes. The quote from Greg Miller said there won's be heaps of changes but possibly a couple, so it could be a matter of who gets picked and him saying not all of them will get a spot.
I believe that's a little wrong.
Roughead was rated over Franklin by us and the Hawks, it was common knowledge that Richmond were expecting Roughead at Pick 4, so much so that we had him stay at the president's house or something.
Adam Cooney was wog before he got a couple of quick touches late in the game imo.
While Mooney was clearly out of his league, you have to give respect to a forward who passes off from 20m with 0 goals next to his name.
Pavlich was poor but in fairness everybody was being selfish and it's...
That's actually one area where they are equal. I honestly can't think of anyone in the AFL who is better at it off both feet than these 2 now that I think of it.
I was getting pissed off watching Franklin have shots on goal from 55m out when the likes of Richo and Pavlich were leading for him.
Pass it off to someone instead of trying to be the bloody hero :thumbsd:
