Opinion Giving 110% - at what stage does the generosity run out?

Not sure how you've arrived at this conclusion because I haven't changed my view at all. I still think it's no big deal because it's optional.

Did Australian selection kill Rob Quiney? (amended after further consideration)

Fair enough. And for the record, I don't think your opinion is crap, despite me disagreeing with it. Opinions are peculiar like that.....

Did Australian selection kill Rob Quiney? (amended after further consideration)

Yeah, sorry, maybe I was being a bit precious there. I have duly amended the thread title as my view has altered a little after considering other points of view. It appears this has been a positive outcome then.....

Opinion Giving 110% - at what stage does the generosity run out?

Perhaps there is a degree of emotional blackmail there but I don't find it offensive, I just reckon it's a prudent strategy. If people buy a membership that's all that counts, so if that's 110% then that's awesome. The club will view extra 10% as a bonus, nothing sinister in that.

As Watson was unfit, evidently it was justified.

Did Australian selection kill Rob Quiney? (amended after further consideration)

You may have missed the point here. This isn't about if he was a legit Test cricketer, it's about how the Test selectors sacrificed him and this consequently destroyed his rich vein of Domestic form.

Did Australian selection kill Rob Quiney? (amended after further consideration)

I'd already forgotten! (I smell a thread brewing - "Worst Test selections since 1980");)

Did Australian selection kill Rob Quiney? (amended after further consideration)

We'll never know if Quiney would have made the grade or not. Agree on McGain and Hastings - good Shield players only. But still, Chris Matthews and Jo Angel played Test cricket so anything's possible I guess...

Did Australian selection kill Rob Quiney? (amended after further consideration)

Because you don't necessarily agree with something doesn't automatically make it silly. Having a discussion is fine but don't be condescending, it's not a good look, not even on an anonymous sports forum.

Opinion Giving 110% - at what stage does the generosity run out?

It's optional, so therefore not much of an issue in my opinion

Was his Baggy Green a poisoned chalice? His motivation must be all but gone now....

Review The Value of Tambling v Franklin

I dont want to discuss this. I dont want to think about this ever again. Franklin has abandoned the Mayblooms so those arrogant campaigners will finally shutup about this absolute 100% recruiting disaster. We should all be eternally thankful that Matthew Pavlich didnt get picked up by a Melbourne club!

    No Compensation for Matt White

If anyone expected compo for White they are seriously tripping. The issue is "why them and not us?" The concept of compo picks in general is ludicrous. It's nothing more than "we have to do something to stop them bitching and moaning" - classic AFL arrogance. It should have never been...

    Matty Dea

He needs to add something to his game. He's clearly a tough hombre but if he's to make it he has to be a regular in the midfield rotation. If not it's unlikely he'll get to 50 games.

Review The Terror Years - Terry Wallace

The whole joint was as total shambles and we were virtually broke. We had zero money to pay for recruiting and/or player development. Never better illustrated by the recruitment of JO-N on the strength of a video or two - I still struggle to comprehend this. For the record I am not a Wallace fan...

Media Dunce of the Year: We have a winner

Yep, true, Richmond haters will get no love from me, but it's more that they're both smug humourless campaigners who inexplicably think their collective shit doesn't stink....

Russell by a nostril, closely followed by that dribbler Brereton, with Darcy and Barrett - notorious Richmond haters - tying for the bronze.....

    2013 MLB Post Season

Scherzer had them mesmerized so that ****ing shitcampaigner Leyland takes him off - it just doesnt make any sense to me at all. It was a highly paid Manager orchestrated choke of the highest order! (yes, I had money on the Tigers and don't know much about managing a baseball team)

    Your 2014 team

You may be right, but Petterd's main issue throughout his career has been his kicking. Because he's always been a forward the scrutiny was not as fierce - now he's in defence the scrutiny is the fiercest it's ever been! He's not a dud but we just cannot afford to have him turn the ball over...

    Your 2014 team

If Petterd is in our best 22 we are miles away from a flag - that will be Vlastuin's spot. Batchelor is not quite up to it and neither is Helbig (or Dea). I think Arnot will soon claim King's spot. Maric is not a defender, he's a ruck that floats back - he is our 1st ruck, Hampson is most...

    A-League Melbourne Derby

I don't usually watch A-League but watched this game, and the first thing that occurred to me was that nobody should've been entirely shocked that the national team conceded 12 goals in their last 2 games...

This call is not of the "MASSIVE" variety, I think it's moderately likely.

Roast Free Agency sucks for the departing Club

Every team and supporter will suffer at times, so too they will celebrate at times. I'm just delighted that we'll no longer have to hear those infuriating tanker campaigners screech "EDDIEEEEEEE!!!"

    Game Day 2013 Grand-Final: Hawthorn v Fremantle

I dunno smasha, I was shittin myself so much against the Tankers that I had to go outside of the G at 3/4 time and listen to it on the radio. I didnt even see the Maric goal but rushed back inside, and then the Tankers scored so I had to go back outside - I was a complete nervous wreck so I...

    Game Day 2013 Grand-Final: Hawthorn v Fremantle

I was shocked at how subdued the Hawthorn supporters were. I witnessed an orderly stream of gold and brown scarves strolling up Swan Street with barely so much as a raised voice! As I shook my head in disbelief, my first thought was that when Richmond win a flag it's gonna be absolute total...
