HOLY DENIED ENTRY BATMAN. I saw the front page of the HS today...Sue in tears..."Dog Fight!!!". I thought OMG what has happened what did Peter do to make our matriarch cry?
Denied entry over a misunderstanding at the gate? WTF? You made me buy the Herald Sun for this? Therein lieth the lesson...
My children have a school concert tonight...starts at 7...hopefully done by 8:30. Please let it be done by 8.30. Otherwise some discreet headphones will be in order.
My one goal is to make sure I'm back in Australia for his 300th next year - I love this bloke and I've missed too many milestones (Libba, Grant, Bubba)
Guys probably not worth a thread in itself but I've never shed tears because of footy, even in 1997 prelim. Today I'm overwelmed....geez we needed that...its 10:15am here and I need a drink
Like others I am very pro Macca. Anyone who thinks we were going to turn around completely in a year is having a laff. My expectations are for another ordinary year, with perhaps some improvement towards seasons end. This is the time to develop the younger players and creat ethe team ethos and...
It was 7:30am where I am at 3qtr time...I logged in to see the score and had to rub my eyes several times to believe it. Awesome result...especially with no Boyd! Can't wait to watch the reply when I get back to civilisation
Great great film...loved the one liners as others have said.
I was once on an MCC tour and got to stand in the club room where Plough delivered his "If I see any more blokes get a pat on the back I'LL SPEW UP!" speech. The other memorable one went something like "Sedat, SEDAT! If you can't hit...
Well I'm finally back after spending two days in bed with manflu. Wonder if the cold conditions at the game was anything to do with it.
As far as the game goes, its pretty much all been said already. We were all over them in the first half and in the 3rd quarter it we didnt show up. The...
BTW I think there were some questions earlier about whethere tickets will be available...I went to the training session yesterday and there should be a few left but I'd get to the Oval 2 hours before start to be sure. Also if anyone fancies a pre match pint, I'm meeting at the nearby Beehive p/h...
I'm going...have handed out about five bulldogs jumpers to my pommie mates as well. If you watch the replay I won't be hard to miss...fat fair haired bloke wearing skin tight Bulldogs jumper (the new one) behind the goals

On another note, I emailed the club to see if there were any other functions on during the London visit. Here's the response...think I'll take a half day at work and go have a look:
Hi Duncan,
Thanks for your email. Unfortunately there are no functions for members to meet the players but...
I think you'll be ok. I've been three times, including matches involving Collingwood and West Coast and none were sold out. To be honest I'd be surprised if it were more than half full next weekend. I can check with The Oval a day or two before to see what sales have been like.
I remember when it was announced and there was a lot of surprised commentary about it, especially after the horror that was 1996. Some of my Hawthorn acquaintances were a bit indignant about it. It did warm my heart though.
