Ill be the first to admit i dont know much about the draft prospects, but I would have thought we could do alot worse with pick 79 than get Edwards from what Ive seen of him. He is still only 21.

I found the Butcher comments interesting, do many here predict he will be still available at 15? I would think melbourne would take him at 11 if they were considering taking him at 2.

Could be worth a look at. I havent seen much of him but his stats look alright at VFL level. Kicked 8 against willy in a game last year and finished with 23 goals from 17 games. This year he only played 3 games before getting injured but managed 4 goals.

Not overly keen on giving up our 2nd round pick and a 21 year old for a 27ish?? year old. Having said that, you would have to pay over the odds to get him and from my knowledge his body is pretty sound so should have a few years left in him. But would he be likely to even leave? Id imagine...

Fair point. I meant through out the year as required because of injuries and even rests. Although I would expect aker and possible Johno to retire at the end of next year assuming they go on this year. Which looks increasingly likely.

Very much like the look of this team for next year. I would be stoked if this was actually the rd 1 team. The only thing that concerns me is the age of the FF line, but I reckon thoughout the year Stack, Grant and Lynch could be introduced so that in 2011 they can replace Aker, Hally and Johno.

I like the look of this bloke. I think the advantages he has over our young KPFs is that he was drafted earlier (2006) and is already nearing 100 kgs. Would be tempted to give our 2nd round but the pies would probably wont more.
