I don't knoow much about Jacobs but vice captain or not, his stats dont look overly impressive. averaging just over 14 a game. That tells me he doesn't run off his man much and make himself an option down the ground. does he have the ability to affect a game? what are his assets?

i think the ball was probably too far from Milne to make a play for it. The camera angle made it look alot closer than it actually was. I looked at it a few times and I don't think milne had a play at it.

I think it is great we have 4 big men that can play seniors and all have huge upside. Kreuzer,Warnock, Jacobs, Hampson Not a bad problem to have.I would like to keep all 4. If we can get a marquee player that can play a KPP , then we may not have a choice.

We really need to work on our tackles. 48 tonight really isn't good enough. Happy that we gave it a crack at least. 3rd quarter killed us, we dominated the first 20 mins and had nothing to show for it. Our decision making was killing us and causing alot of anguish. Overall not upset about tonight

One things for sure, Walls certainly polarises views. I personally like him and agree with most of his articles, alot of what he says has a simplistic view on things and whether we agree with him or not it all comes from the heart. And like all of us he wants Carlton to be successful.

I agree, but i would have liked to have seen them in more than i have. especially Betts. Like you said they have done well with th elimited time they have had. Hence why is mentioned to place them in specific programs to fast track this.

I realise that an engine and hard body is built over years not one preseason. But the point you missed here is there is no reason whatsoverer this can't be fast tracked by giving specific programs to specific players to give them as much chance to succeed in that position.
