Problem is we always over valuate players we love. On ability alone, Higgo is worth more than 30, but when you add in age, contact situation, club direction etc etc, pick 30 isn't bending over, it isn't bad at all.
Hoping we bundle it up for a higher pick or bundle for a decent player and...
Ah ok, I always thought we had to nominate a pick i.e. we want Thomas at 31, Sydney come in at 24, Adelaide at 14 so once the bids are complete then we have to bunch up picks to get the required amount of points
who would realistically bid on Thomas? Would it be anyone just for the sake of a top talent in the late teens/early 2nd?
Correct me if I'm wrong, with our first 2 picks plus the 20% discount, we can cover a pick up until 13?
Are we going to bid 31 straight up for him and go from them...
I don't think we desperately need Scully, that is to say I would't mind having him on the list because he would add a lot more than one of the delisted guys/Morgan.
Future 2nd for Scully & a 4th/Future 4th
Just can't get my head around him going that cheap because of the cap squeeze...
I can't think of another north player over the past 25 years that has had hair as long as JP. Can anyone shed any light?
Best of luck to him too. I agree that if we can get the best out of him, he'll be a very handy pick up!
A mate of mine is convinced GC are keener than Keen's mustard on drafting Lukosius & Rozee (apparently best mates) @ 2 and 3.
The looks on the port and crows recruiters faces would be priceless. Rankine goes to the SA club with the highest pick then I guess. No idea where the King bros land...
With Scott nominating us plus his desire to study in Melb, surely other clubs would avoid a bid? At least interstate clubs. GC upgrading picks wouldn't have anything to do with this?
Also what are our current picks looking like GR if you have them handy?
will we be in any trouble next season in acquiring Kelly if we significantly improve on field (as expect) and our 2019 & 2020 1st rounders might/could be mid teens??? Assuming thats the going rate. Usually you get to where you want to go, but if GSW play hardball, could it prove more difficult?
Agreed! I wonder if he wishes to try and get up again? looks doubtful
Swans say we can't keep you on the list, would you like to officially retire? He says nah I want to go around again thus the delisting.
Either way, its a cruel game sometimes
I didn't hear. I walked into the conversation when I heard Blakey mentioned. I'll suss it out again. I'm being 100% legit with what I heard, just don't know where his info has come from.
He isn't an ex team mate, he's a 77 premiership player. Lives in Melbourne. I'm trying to connect the dots and all I come up with that he played for North.
how is Crocker travelling? assuming he has an average year this year what would his draft range be?
I spoke to an older ex player the other week and he believes that Crocker is the pick of father son picks in this draft. He also strongly believes Blakey wants to pick North as his preferred club...
surely that is because Carltank have said we're taking you. If this Cerra to freo happens and LDU is available, maybe SOS will call an audible last minute? Either way, I think LDU If we take him would be aces.
I have never had so much attachment to this many draftees ever. It is doing my head in!!!
I have been back and forth for weeks between Dow, Stephenson, Cerra, back to Dow, Stephenson is the one, Cerra though??? Dow could slide. It feels like I'm on the Bachelor (or Bachelorette) nit picking...
