I wish they would remove all betting adds, and stop betting companies from sponsoring clubs.
Not sure if that, or clubs being dependent on pokies is the bigger issue.
outside mids with speed and class.
Improvement in their back half, especially a key defender.
I think they have 3 or 4 years or when Bont slows down, before they need to do a mini rebuild.
West Coast
Chad Warner for Eagles 1st round compensation pick. (Top 5 pick)
Sydney get Allen.
Fremantle
I really don't see players paying a bit part of it for Fremantle.
Maybe Davies or Draper, if you would like a KPD. I think both are too good to play WAFL next year, but I don't think they...
Tom Lynch was the other way around, only they had a number of stars due to retire in 3 or 4 years so they knew they would have spare salary cap then.
Ryan and Pearce are only players older than 28 taking up reasonable cash, so we can't afford to back end any contracts.
I think it really...
Winder for option 1, but probably the wrong type of player.
Toner or Bradley for option 2.
Just watched Bradley's highlights, and his skills look a bit questionable, and he lacks a left foot. (based on a 30 second highlight video)
Unless Delean can massively improve his tank massively...
I have heard recruiters say the WA players are less developed than the Vic players.
Cleric has covered it, but I think the WA u16 coach was a volunteer whose school gave him some time off to do the job.
It just comes down to cash, and the AFL not funding SA and WA junior development.
Catches per matches is almost irrelevant.
Pointing had Mark Waugh fielding first slip for most of this career to spinners, which I think are the tougher catches.
Anyway, he dropped 3 catches in this 1 test.
As a big Mark Waugh fan as a kid, this is my favourite catch of his.
0-21 in a...
I thought Green was out for longer. Happy he is back sooner than I expected
You can't fault the selectors too much, but we have Khawaja who is 38, Steve Smith is 35.
They made a big mistake not replacing Warner with an opener instead of playing Smith as an opener, now we will need to replace...
Green will miss the entire summer. (At least 6 months from memory)
Hopefully they play Konstas versus Sri Lanka. We just need to get some more young people into the squad.
Usman Khawaja needs a score as well. Now Smith has one good innings, it will take the pressure of him a bit.
Here are the player averages for the series.
I thought McSweeney was a bit a better than that. It shows how much Head is hiding how bad we are batting. Reminds me of a test series in...
haha
Adelaide should get this every year. They do a great job of hosting it.
Perth will never get it, due to the time difference. A 9pm finish, becomes midnight roughly for the eastern states.
If the ball up is on the right side (right side if you are facing towards goal) of the 50 for a left footer, then him moving from the boundary line to the middle looking for a handball or snap for goal would work well.
Otherwise, then him being outside the 50 would work.
Getting side tracked...
Firstly, thanks for the report. Always greatly appreciated by anyone, and yours are brilliant.
I remember Chris25 talking about Junior Rioli, and his fitness being the only thing holding him back. Same with McGovern.
If that is only thing holding him back (and sounds like it is), then I am...
Assuming Sturt is fit, then he plays round 1.
I am looking forward to him being fit, and kicking 1.5 to 2 goals a game this year.
Hopefully he plays 20 plus games, and can kick 35 to 40 goals.
Walters and O'Meara will need to do a lot well, to get selected before him in round 1.
Fyfe is...
In that case, move him to the midfield rotation and out of the forward line.
Don't think we can carry two forwards, who don't score although we don't have a lot of better options.
If we brought in someone like Pickett, then Frederick would be pushed out of the forward line and then he would...
Does hit the score board enough or provide enough forward pressure to be guaranteed a spot in the forward line.
What does he bring to the forward line? In my opinion he needs to ramp us his forward pressure to hold his spot.
Jackson Treacy Bolton
Switta Amiss Sturt
Frederick, O'Meara...
I am still very bullish on him.
Last year, his forward pressure was good and he averaged 2 goals a game.
I have Frederick, O'Meara and Banfield all out of the side, before Sturt, but obviously he needs to be fit which is probably the bigger issue with Sturt. Hopefully his knee is good.
I have heard people connected to AFL, rave about Geelong's culture and that has definitely helped them.
It probably makes a bigger difference in Victoria, where you have 10 clubs fighting for the same players.
It can't hurt.
Something must not translate from WAFL to AFL.
My guess is attitude. The fact we aren't letting him at least train shows he is a long way back.
At least we are targeting a small forward
Interesting Sam Toner was not considered.
