Needs to be very quick at that height, and super clean.

Free swing for us anyway.

Proves the club are concerned with the depth in that position, as we all think.

Find these guys really bizarre choices. One is a tiny 168cm player who is basically zero chance of making it. The only guys who can make it at that height are freak shows who demonstrate elite/standout traits at an early age. The other one is flagged as having poor athleticism (speed/agility) by rookieme, which is not the sort of player we need to add as a small forward.

Have no idea what Jaxon Artemis (the WA MVP from the carnival) has done wrong. Ticks the boxes for speed, kicking, rebound. There was talk that we needed a running half back, and we didn't draft one.

Small forward is the one spot you get away with it.

But you need a lot of other things going for you.
It always helps to have some overhead ability though. At that height and most likely weight it makes it very difficult so those players are more one dimensional - so the dimensions they do have need to be off the charts.

I did think this was the likely outcome (unfortunate as it may be for Jones) when he suffered a vertebrae injury and required surgery.

Good opportunity to trial a few mature age small forwards. I did suggest that Lowe and Toner could be train on options. I do like what I’ve seen of Lowe. Reminds me of Schultz. A small forward that has also run through the midfield. Named HFF in the SANFL team of the year which is a good achievement. Jade Rawlings would be a very good reference point.

Seems like sound logic to me.

I agree with Jax. I know his family. Let's just say I catch up with his relatives for a few frothies by the fire. He has all the tricks and has some kinda chance of making it unlike the players they have selected to train on.

The effort the club is putting in to recruit Kozzii is just outstanding!
Narkle to Freo (Narkle’s partner is the sister of Kozzie’s partner), then Uncle Roy George training with Casey Demons (Melbourne’s VFL affiliate), then Freo gets Isaiah Dudley (Kozzi’s mate) to train at Freo…. Check mate

Next move is with you Melbourne

I like him.

Get him in. Let him demonstrate the goodness. Hit go.
Looking at his highlights he has some X factor and some handy small forward traits.

At the risk of upsetting Dani Laidley and others he will have some work to do on the fitness side of things. Best I leave further comments to individual judgement.
