Gilbee and Hargrave will not be a huge loss and I would expect they both retire at years end, mainly to avoid us having too many guys go out at once.
On the plus side aswell, once this group retires, due to our lack of 25 - 27 year olds, it will be a long time before we have a massive group of...
It is obviously a bad situation we are in but...gee whiz...some of the last couple of comments are a bit an overreaction, The game is a cycle and - just like 03/04 we are in the crappy end of the cycle. The wheel will continue to turn.
Your right, that was the best footy we've played since 2010. If memory serves me correct, our form had been okay leading into that game but we dropped right off the pace after that win.
- Howard was amazingly bad, seemed to lack a lot of confidence and made a mistake almost every time the ball was in his area.
- Sherman was very poor.
- As expected, Williams to the forward line is NOT the answer, it is an absolute waste having him up there.
- Cordy may need a stint in the...
We do not have enough silky, polished players to play any other brand of football so therefore in my opinon I dont see how any other game plan would benefit us. The simple fact is, we do not have the cattle right now and it will be a long way back.
Really dissapointing but when the team struggles to score half a century each week, its to be expected I guess.
Home game against Carlton next week, but with the way they played Friday, wouldnt expect to break the 30K barrier.
Intetesting first quater. Dickson looks dangerous up forward but the hawks quick entries into there 50 is really hurting us. Need to stay with them early in the second term.
Been really dissapointing crowd numbers all season. Obviously a poor season has played a major factor but it is still very worrying.
The two that stick out to me most are our 2 friday night games. The one against Geelong drew sub 30,000 and the one against Collingwood drew 37,000 - 38,000...
Congrats Boydy. Cops too much criticsm from our own supporters but certainly loves the club more than most and puts his body on the line week in week out. Champion.
I live a fair way out in the S/E suburbs but work in the city so pretty much forced to catch a train every day so with myki its almost impossible to fare evade because all the barriers at Melb central are closed and there is nomally inspectors waiting behind. $11 a day for public transport is an...
The new Myki system for public transport and the fact that at a lot of train stations there is only one machine and if a person is using EFTPOS to top up, it takes about 3 minutues to process!
Still a question mark over whether or not Morris will get back to his best when he comes back. I just dont think we can afford to throw lake or williams forward with our backline the way it is.
Cant say I really like the idea, as one or two have stated, think Tom will eventually become one of the premium CHBs back in the game once he has a decent run without injury. He certainly isnt the answer to our forward line problems.
