    Brownlow Medal 2010 (Part 2)

I seriously don't understand everyone's hesitations in smashing Boyd up! I have got him absolutely monstering Cooney, and a sneaky chance to win the medal.. Have a look at Boyd's period of dominance between rounds 11-17, and compare it to Hayes' rounds 7-11 last year where he picked up 13...

    Brownlow Medal 2010 (Part 2)

    I have Pav BOG in rounds 3 & 6, and two votes in 7, 9, 15 & 22 and one in round 1. Total 15

    Brownlow Medal 2010 (Part 2)

I have him tied on 15 with Barlow, agree with you though on his 2nd half of the season - i only have him picking up 4 more votes.

    Brownlow Medal 2010 (Part 2)

Somebody mentioned a few pages back that Sandilands has polled well in the last couple of years despite Freo's poor form. I had a look at this, and compared to Pavlich in the corresponding years, and what i came up with is this... Pavlich polled 10 last year (freo: 6 wins) and 17 in 2008...

    Brownlow Medal 2010 (Part 1)

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010 Can anyone offer up some thoughts on Adam Selwood to get most votes for WC? I've got him tracking at 5 currently - equal with Priddis, but at $16 i'm really liking Selwood! Could be the big multiplier of 2010...thoughts?

Trade Week on the Hawks Board

Yes, but Cyril in to the guts could also negate the need to use pick 9 on Burgs. I'd be just as happy with Mitch, Sewell, Hodge & Cyril as I would with Mitch, Sewell, Hodge, Burg. I'm more than happy for Burgoyne to join the club, but given the retirement of Robbie, i'd much rather use pick 9...

Trade Week on the Hawks Board

Should we be having any interest in Rhan Hooper? Very good crumbing forward when he's up and about and could release Cyril to the midfield for that much needed pace. Turn Cyril in to a goal-kicking midfielder, and have Hooper cleaning up at the feet of Buddy and Roughy.

Trade Jordan Lewis, Campbell Brown, Clinton Young, Brent Guerra or any other Premiership player ...

Re: Trade Jordan Lewis, Campbell Brown, Clinton Young, Brent Guerra or any other Premiership player There's a whole lot of BS footy venacular being bandied around on this thread, words like 'cohesive', 'team' & 'fabric' - it's all garbage. Yes, we won a flag, but that doesn't make every player...

Andrew Lovett - looking to be traded

Pick 9?! Bit much. If we're going after an outside mid, i'd rather it be Pearce. Younger and as good/better than Lovett.

    Hawthorn's First Draft Pick.

It's a good point, but Gibson would come very cheap and is more than capable of holding down the key forwards. The discussion will become much more interesting following the trade period. I don't see any good reason to hang on to our draft picks, and Pelchen is hardly the type to give them...

    Hawthorn's First Draft Pick.

WHY is everyone so hell-bent on using pick 9 in the draft?? I don't know much about it this year, but by all reports it's quite shallow. Plus, we have good young defenders in Schoey and Lisle who were drafted last year and even Gilham has plenty left in him. IMO there is no need to take a...

Pick no. 9 On the Table

Don't know if anyone has mentioned this in other threads, but what about Pearce or Salopek from Port? The way I see it, our priorities should be a key position defender and a quick outside mid. Young, Bateman and Rioli are the only genuine quicks in the team and they need a friend. We...

    Next Years AFL promotional advert?

Anyone else noticed that the AFL is promoting the Finals Series as "The Hardest, Fastest, Fiercest Finals Series Ever"? Fair to say that this well be a pretty soft Finals Series given that nobody knows if they are allowed to bump anymore..
