Mason Cox in that last quarter was absolutely unbelievable. Dominated his position. The pic of him with the USA flag after the game had me look twice, but it’s his day, he can do what he likes.

Agree. Took advantage of an exhausted Big O. Cox was our best ruckman all year. Its quite amazing how much he had to step up with Grundy departing.

Miss 12 saw her first grand final win today, what an amazing moment! The first person I hugged after the siren, proud parent moment.

Big difference as the name implies Cox does carry big D energy, Grundy sometimes looks like he wants to be somewhere else or full airhead mode.

All the senior guys were so good in the 4th qtr. Mitchell and Daicos around the ball and in traffic were awesome. Pendles was everywhere.

Collingwood to properly belt the lions by 4 points.

I wouldn't have minded a greater winning margin even if it meant I was wrong.

I have never been to the ground during a GF (4 prelims). This was my first.

I resolved to maintain composure. Lost my sh*t 10 minutes into the game.

People around me were crying.

So was I.

I'm now home. Have enjoyed a wood-fired pizza (no pineapple you mo-fos) and am watching the replay. Getting a bit drunk on a good red.

One of the best days of my life.

Brisbane were fantastic on the day. Brilliant side.

Brisbane supporters have been quite gracious, impressed

Opposition supporters are loons.The Lions had the rub of the green all day.It was only the umpiring and our bad kicking that made the game as close as it was.It should have been a much easier win.

Their first 3 goals literally only happened because of blatant frees that we weren’t paid when we should have and a 50 that wasn’t paid

Cox today was disrupting the mids and small players.... he was making it tough.

My issue with Grundy was that he had many games where he was a downhill skier... he would win the tap then just watch while his team mate gets bodied or tackled.... for a supposedly mobile ruck he was non inpactful defensively or helping his followers.

I don't recall the 58 and 60 Grand Finals but I've bled through all the others.
64, 66,70, 77&77, 79, 80, 81, 90, 02, 03, 10&10, 18 and now 23.
This week I was oddly, anxiety free. It always felt right despite any Lions score I knew we'd dash, bash and crash the ball forward and score when we needed it. Great day - Go Pies

what's worse than losing a Final in 2002 by 9 points? probably getting flogged in 2003 by 54 by the same team...

then in 2018 you lose a grand final with 2 minutes to go by 5 points.....

you hate football for 18 months but you have to stick with the team you love, but **** it hurts, it hurts so bad

you then lose a prelim in 2022 by a point.it still ****ing hurts. but when you love your team, and they finally beat the team that flogged them so badly 20+ years ago, there is no better feeling......

I remember sitting at the Jolimont train station waiting to go home back to Keon park in Sept 2002, listening to the same brisbane song getting played over and over and over and waiting for the train in 2002 with my Collingwood Brethren all in silence, hating life.

today makes it all worth it
