Well done Pies, despite a few (thousand) outraged neutrals going on about the advantage call you were still deserved premiers. You were better than everyone else all year and more of your blokes turned up and did their jobs today.

Now honour your bloody contract with Grundy and get on with it already!

As Ablett Sr. would say, hope you have a rip snorter this weekend.

That was one special, special match. The boys played like winners today. We played like we were carrying the scars of 2018 and wanted to make ammends. To the 23 who went out there today, thank you. To the boys who pulled on the jumper, thank you.

We did it.

We did it.

Who did y'all think were our best?

For me I though we won that game in the midfield so in order of best I've got:
1. Hill
2. Mitchell
3 Sidebottom
4. Crisp
5. Naicos
6. Pendlebury
7. Howe
8. Degoey
2022 trade period looks um very good.

Now what did we pay for Hill and Mitchell again?

Mitchell effectively cost us Oliver Henry. Who ironically would likely played today if he was still with us.

Agree. Those who were bashing Mitchell second half of the year clearly forgot how bloody frustrating it was to watch us get belted out of clearances last year.

Mitchell’s ability to win in and under and also manage the clock at stoppages at the end of games without giving away free kicks is vital to our control game

He was fantastic today. So important what he did with Adams out. Glad he got a bit of recognition in the Norm Smith voting.

Congrats to you all, best team all year, thoroughly deserved, enjoy the celebrations 👍

P.S Darcy Moore is a class act, best captain in footy by a mile!!

Compared to their worth to this team??

A couple of twistie wrappers LOL.
Pretty much. The melts on here that we'd overpaid - priceless.

We've won a premiership on the back of a very successful trade period.

Hill - won a Norm. Second round pick well and truly worth it.

Mitchell - top three on ground today. We needed that burrowing wombat and he fought all day. He was hungry to win and got there. We needed that level of hunger.

Frampton - look, he had a quieter game but he kept Harris Andrews hushed up. For a future third that is so late it is irrelevant, good pick.

Just want to say, I love you all. It's been great connecting with all of my fellow Pies supporters on BF over the years. I'm about to head out and about, so go Pies and I will see you all tomorrow.....hopefully with a massive headache.
:heart::heart::heart: :smilev1:

Just imagine if in 2021 we'd decided to go and do a full rebuild.

Pendlebury, Sidebottom, De Goey, Howe, Cox, Hoskin-Elliott would not have been playing today and we'd likely have finished up in the bottom four (again).

So much more to list management than a full rebuild.

It took the coach who was the right fit for the job, not the name and some belief to get those boys over the line. Those boys were thrilled today and played like we were the best.

Yeah lots of peeps down on Framo but FMD he stepped into the breach in our hour of need and did the job required of him and all from a literally hail mary pick.
The whole day he was a pest for Brisbane. Frampton will never be a star but he can play a role and that's the special part.

So here's a funny thing...

Bought this Collingwood Shiraz last year, and my misso and I promised we wouldn't drink it until we won a premiership

Well, it's only one year later, and we're opening it!

Probably way too early as it's only 2021, but a promise is a promise haha

I'll have to buy another one and do it again
