This group is extremely lovable. So many massive stories included with each player. Im glad we got this one year , i know every club supporter may say this , but feel like there is more in this group. As hard as they are to get , this isnt finished yet.

From now on, when we get into a GF again, I think it has to be mandatory that our players watch highlights of Cyril Rioli before the match. Seeing Naicos there watching it on his phone reminded - didn't do him or Bobby "Norm" Hill any harm did it! Or even better, Bobby's highlights!

I had a good feeling this year after all the trolling and shitposting groups cropped up

It was much like 2010 when we had those fb groups with quasi-fascist titles like “don’t use animals for medical experiments use Collingwood supporters” (which had over 50000 members)

Opposition fans knew we were on our way to win it, and they needed to learn to cope

I think I have a form of football related PTSD (not meaning to diminish those with genuine PTSD).

Despite being confident about winning, I was also very anxious and worried it wouldn’t happen. Worked myself up to quite a state on the day - and that feeling hasn’t left me hence my reluctance to revisit the game by watching the replay.

Think I’ll come good in about January.

I doubt any Collingwood supporter could avoid tearing up watching that little piece. One of my favourite shots is Mason draped in his flag sitting high inside the ground, tears in his eyes and soaking it all in.

My physical reaction to the Sheed and Sidebottom goals was the same, head in hands. Completely opposite expressions though, Sheed was **** we’ve lost this; Sidebottom a deep sigh of relief we’re going to win this!

Last night on the ABC, there was a segment on Federal Parliament where two MPs - one Labor and one LNP - made a tribute to the Pies, and congratulated the club. I missed the beginning so not sure whether it was the Senate or the lower house. Both were wearing their Pies ties, and claimed it was bipartisan! It was a hoot.

I’ve been trying to find it - but if anyone can upload it here, would be much appreciated.

Before the GF a Melbourne supporter sent me a "joke" about Cwood supporters - the usual stuff. I didn't reply then.

After the GF I replied to his email with a pic of the players with the Cup. No words were necessary.
