21 year old midfielder/defender from the St Kilda Sharks. Formerly a goalkeeper in the Matilda's soccer squad.

She's a tank, and I mean that in a good way. Rock down back in the Exhibition game, strong and does the good smart things.

She is a machine, Brianna Davey. Plays down back in the exhibition match but plies her trade in the midfield in the VFL. Pretty much destroys both the contested possession and clearance counters every week.

So impressive. Single minded pursuit of the ball and percentage playing it away from goal kicking range. Reminded me of Southby.

She has the goalkeeper instinct. Reads the flight of the ball better, knows when to come forward or stay back, reads her opponent's movement, gets a timely punch in, works the mark, marks well and kicks like a mule. Soccer has been a great grounding.

"The Bulldogs have done an amazing thing for women's football – along with Melbourne – and I'm extremely privileged and honoured to be part of that," Davey said.

"But I'm on to a new club and a new chapter, and I'm really looking forward to pulling on a blue jumper next year and representing Carlton."
