A few weeks back there were fears that opposition sides would isolate Maj and funnel attacks through his opponent. Now it's apparent they won't kick it anywhere near him.

His punches to save goals - excellent.

All the talk about no tank - he seemed to be one of few still running late in the 4th today.

Logie was ahead of him and no VFL team to blood..
Just because we didn't have a VFL team doesn't mean we couldn't influence where he was played.

Theres a reason that most of our players VFL roles matched their AFL ones.

It seems he's pushing through the pain barrier.

The blokes exhausted at times but he follows through.

Previously, he wouldn't or couldn't.

Why delete my post?

Why can't I call out the guy that wrote Maj off before he even played a single game in defence?

What was the post ?

And if it's the poster that mentioned " blind faith" I can honestly say " blind faith" beats blind hatred every day of the week!

Makes you wonder how he might be situated had we moved him back, 3 years ago

Makes me wonder if after he's found his feet at the level whether we will see him swung forward occasionally.

Shit I'm equal first for amount of posts in this thread, I think I won the first thread in a canter?

So just posting to hit the front. The guy second isn't a fan, so that's dedication.

In our best few today. I’m still far from convinced but I have to salute the improvement. Have some humble pie in the freezer and happy to defrost and eat. Just not yet.

I was sceptical but surely he’s only going to get better. Or at the worst stay the same. And he’s currently playing pretty bloody well.

hmmm, had you top ten Gaso, although your style was more to ignite an already volatile situation.

...umm yeh nar. I have been sympathetic towards Maj of his lack of Juniors & the consequences throughout Maj Part II.

Despite popular belief, I dont get agitated about not creating GD OPs...over creating them....what grinds my gears is Sacking Scotts/Trading JZ.

Maj was responsible for 4 of our goals today. The last goal came from a beautiful kick to Brown in the last as part of team play but there were 3 directly from his pressure:
  1. The one where someone saw Maj coming and coughed it up to Cunners who set Waite up for his first goal.
  2. Browny's after the tackle on Boak.
  3. UDLs first after Maj took Neade out of the contest and shepherded for Thompson.

In each of those cases they had the ball and Maj's pressure gave us the ball and a goal after another kick. He created a contest on each occasion almost out of nothing.
