Hasnt been the same since being knocked out in gf

Just making the howlers and it’s becoming consistent which is a worry

Yep. It seems to me that the contest with Danger knocked any of the hardness and courage that Vlastuin had before it out of him. Seems not to crash in or go as hard as he used to since. His decision making and composure have also significantly dropped away.

And the worst thing is despite the alarming drop in the quality of his football, he will not be dropped.

Hate to say it but pretty sure he has copped a fair few big knocks and multiple concussions over his career, Has it taken its toll? I’m kind of worried about his long term health

Just not the player he once was

The problems really started with that Danger hit. I still have not seen him come back as good from that & it's now been 3 years.

His numbers are still decent but his Decision making is not what it used to be. He seems to be taking players on far to often in general play, taking risky options, and is on a short fuse,

Like you I’m hoping the numerous concussions don’t cause any health issues down the track.

Gives away silly free kicks some of them are soft & some not really there but some of them are obvious like last night pushin some flog over in stoppage no point.

Tim Taranto was asked about Nick Vlastuin with his 200th game coming up and Tim mentioned that Phil Davies used to say Nick was one of the best defenders in the afl and very underrated.

perhaps an unpopular opinion but I think he needs to play forward next year to suit the team needs …..I think he would make a great forward with a combination of vlaustin lynch and Bauer as the talls …. Leave balta in defence

Not sure. He is a back I think.

Intercepting defenders are more important than ever and Vlastuin is our 2nd best one. If we're going to send him forward we might as well just trade him to the bulldogs for a 1st rounder.
I agree intercept defenders are important but we also need to be able to kick a winning score ….I think vlaustin forward and balta staying in defence is currently the right mix … maybe someone else is capable of playing vlaustin role?

A forward line containing Martin, Lynch, Gibcus/Ryan, Cumberland and Baker should be able to kick a winning score...

Depends on what the other team kicks though.

Gibcus Ryan cumbo even baker haven’t been consistent up forward.
Yeah for sure. It would be nice if small forwards are actually allowed to play attacking footy under the new coach or if their priority will still be guarding space and pressuring....

Kai Lohmann could be a good small forward target....
