I have a feeling this kid is going to have those Harley Reid hissy fit throwers eating humble pie in the not too distant future
When you've got the work ethic and determination that McKercher's got, to go along with the talent.....

Watch him at training...it's was pretty warm yesterday, hotter out in the middle...when some started to look it was getting to them, he just ran harder....at the end of the session when they were starting to venture in, he grabbed a footy and looked like he wanted to keep going

Meanwhile Reid turns up to day 1 of preseason training an absolute porker and is now on "off legs training"

Mckercher is the better player of the two anyway. It will only take the media experts 10 years to work this out.

No one told the poor campaigner he wasn’t supposed to eat at his Hungry Jacks franchise every day.

He’s going to be the grim reaper as he’ll rip the heart out of the opposition.
This guy in broken play will be huge for us - will probably get most metres gained in the league.
This side is going to be fun to watch

Will be better than Reid.

There we go, said it.

Reminds me of Boomer - how he always wanted to have a footy in his hands, no matter what he was doing around the club and home.

Lining up in the middle ey? Part time half back part time gun onballer?

****ing look out AFL world. We have a new sherrif in town.

Boomer's ceiling was pretty high. He won more B&Fs for North Melbourne than anyone. Well, except Jas Garner of course.

It's still not impossible for both statements to be correct.

Boomer played the majority of his peak in historically one of the weaker North sides of the last 40 years (outside of this period of course)

McKercher is a potential Brownlow winner and perennial contender imo. Boomer only really had 1-2 seasons of that level imo, but obviously 10+ still at an elite level.

Lets see how he goes, I'm confident there's a chance McKercher could be the best North player of this era, which is saying something, given we have Sheezel, Wardlaw, LDU etc on the books.

His ceiling is higher than Boomer’s I reckon, just maybe not the 400 plus games.

This is selling Boomer way short. So to speak.

Both have the scintillating run and passing but Boomer was an elite goalsneak, could stop and pivot in traffic and could overhead mark against much bigger opponents.

McKercher has the potential to be excellent at what he does but I think his skill set is a lot narrower than Boomer's.

He had no problems kicking goals at Coates level playing as a midfielder.
