In Order

1) T.Bell
2) Hurley
3) Pears
4) Watson
5) Heppell
6) Stanton
7) Ryder
8) Melksham
9) Zaharakis
10) Hocking

KPP are the hardest to replace. Bellchambers will be super important to us. People may be forgetting the importance of Pears as well since he hasn't played much for us lately. Although Ryder has gone through a tough patch lately he still is important.

Ok :confused::confused:
He was on everyone's list...

In order:

1 Watson
2 Hurley
3 Pears
4 Heppell
5 Jetta
6 Hooker
7 Stanton
8 Hocking
9 Zaharakis
10 TBell

I'd probably say only top 6 are untouchables however.

Hard to reflect on this as 6 months ago Heppell and Hardingham wouldn't have been on my list. This season they have proven to be every bit as important as anyone else but I can only judge them on a NAB cup and 9 H&A games.

Still, based on 2011 for me, in no particular order:

1. Watson - Enough said
2. Hurley - Busts packs as a forward and as a defender. Brings people into the game no matter where he plays, great disposal on either side. Only wish his marking were a bit stronger
3. Heppell - Best first year player I've seen at the club. Future is enormous
4. Bellchambers - Rucks at this level generally learn the centre square first, around the ground later. He's got part 1 sorted and is rapidly improving on part 2. Only 21 yet a ruckman isn't supposed to come good until 24 - 25
5. Hardingham - A real surprise packet this season. Disposal seems better than 2010 and can cover any forward in the air or on the ground except for the key forwards which is why we have......
6. Hooker - Going from strength to strength. Always been handy 1:1 but I think he now knows his disposal limitations so is not turning it over as often nor like a deer in the headlights. Still huge scope for improvement
7. Zaharakis - I see a lot of Montagna in this guy, and given his age he has the scope to be significantly better as he continues to learn his craft
8. Stanton - Until we get someone who works as hard as this guy, sacrifices his position to make space for others, gut runs from minute 1 to minute 100, he is in. I am more than prepared to accept his howlers in favour of the good he does for the team. Easily in our top 10.
9. Pears - Would love another KPD and this guy take Fletcher's role when Fletcher retires in 6 years. Will make a great KPD nonetheless in the mean time and who knows, his value may end up better as a KPD than a 3rd tall. Still, would love him as 3rd man up as he reads the play so well and has great disposal. [EDIT - Not based on 2011 obviously, but what it means to our structure to have him back, and also what we've seen before now]
10. Hocking - An absolute bulldog. If we went to war, I'd want him alongside me. Provides serious grunt in the midfield with enough polish to be bloody damaging when going forward. Oppostion mids would HATE to have him walk up to them at the opening bounce.

Apologies to Jetta and Fletcher. Also Dempsey may have been here if he had've had more than 2 weeks in the current defensive setup as he was looking the goods, but unfortunately I can only take him on his form from preceding years which was very good, but not top 10.

I think this is spot on! Wouldn't swap anyone from this list. Ryder would be the first person I would trade if the right trade came up. He has underperformed and would have a lot of trade value. Just not strong enough in the legs and in the core to be a really good player.

On Hardingham it is funny how so many supporters were upset when Barlow wasn't picked up. How times have changed.

I think this similarly of Stanton in terms of trade value. He has plenty of that, but dont think he'll ever be an A grade mid regardless of his work ethic or how fast or far he can run. I like the guy but hes just not going to be A grade people need to accept that.

1. Watson
2. Hurley
3. Heppell
4. Pears
5. Hocking
6. Josh Toy
7. Hooker
8. Zaharakis
9. Stanton
10. Gumbleton just in case.

If Essendon lost Crameri I would be shattered, yet alot of you guys have not got him in your top 10,
Stanton
Ryder
Jetta
Bellchambers
are not ahead of him!

watching Hibberd he wins alot of 1 on 1s and looks a real keeper also, and Lonergan and Hardingham are pushing past Ryder, Bellchambers, Jetta, Stanton ect
