At about 11.30pm+ last night SEN was dropping in and out so bad I had to turn it off eventually....was very annoying.
While I'm here, Jordan Kournelis is a brilliant host....he engages so well with his callers, talks to them like old friends and really listens.

Not at all....they've stuffed up big time with the drive home slot. Not real keen on Dwayne Russell either, but I do listen a bit to both he and Whately sometimes..

Djokovic has tested positive for Coronavirus. Surely the biggest topic on SEN tomorrow. Whateley might even have BP on for a tennis hour.
It should be the biggest sports story around the globe. Djokovic hosted an exhibition tournament in Serbia with a number of other players, crowds at the tournament, no social distancing, interaction with fans, players playing other sports together. And to top it all off, an after party to close the event held at a nightclub with the players getting up close and personal. Plenty to come out of it.
Think he finished up about a week before Gary & Tim’s Final show last year remember them thanking him and wishing him all the best one morning.

Djokovic has not covered himself in glory through the COVID-19 crisis. He is the ATP tour player president, has preached anti vaxxer stuff, has pushed some kind of water as a healing method, his wife claimed covid being a hoax, he said he would not get tested nor take a vaccine if it became available.
He hosted this tournament, where players came from different parts of the world and were not tested or quarantined on arrival. The behaviour of the players and organisers completely ignored the situation we are in, indeed flaunted it. Djokovic has only apologised because of how bad the situation has become.
And he is my favourite current tennis player. But hugely disappointed with his actions over the past couple of months.

I’m not as negative as most of this board regarding the station, breakfast is A grade, I don’t mind Wheatley, Least he is professional, Dwayne i tune in and out, but afternoons is beyond terrible, Andy is a good wingman, bob is utterly hopeless.

SEN is unbearable after 3pm. Dwayne is a flog but actually does a decent job on the 12-3 shift, Gerard is also a w***er but at least produces some good content and has quality guests on.
They must be paying Maher and Murphy absolute ****ing peanuts to keep them on the air because there is no other way I could see their employment justified.

I actually think Andy is held back a bit by Murphy.
Maher has a pretty expansive sporting knowledge. He follows most american sports, the premier league as well as most aussie sports. Murphy, seemingly, barely has a working knowledge of the AFL.
If you paired Maher with someone like Kane Cornes (unlikely as he does the morning in SA) or i have always thought him, Ben Dixon and David King would be good. They have chemistry already, they can talk about a variety of sports seriously, but can have a joke as well.
Yes, I don't mind Andy....he's a bit of an old woman but means well and as you say, he has a broad knowledge of sports. I agree that pairing him with the right person will make all the difference.
Murphy is full of his own importance, which he isn't, and thinks he is a super cool laid back dude, which he isn't.......Not suited to radio at all.

Love Bob as a player, but the quirky, inner city, hipster, alternative, wannabe rockstar, laid back vibe does nothing for me, so I stopped listening after a few weeks.

Don’t disagree, Maher isn’t a bad media performer at all but Murphy drags them both down. Pair Maher with someone who won’t let him waffle on and he does a good job.
