So, the start of footy season. SEN up, but only 0.4. RSN down 0.1

The DAB+ Only stations show a tricky Public Relations situation for SEN Track.

Its second highest listening group is those aged 10-17.

So, that either proves the rating system is complete trash, or SEN has an ethics problem, that a station built around gambling is attracting those who shouldn't be!

The highly anticipated radio audience measurement system, Radio 360, will go live tomorrow with the release of the third GfK metropolitan radio survey of the year.

The introduction of Radio 360 marks the biggest change in how radio ratings are measured in Australia since the 1950s.

Radio 360 measures data from three different sources:

  • Streaming measurement data taken directly from radio station websites, listening apps and server logs
  • 50,000 surveys completed over the year by listeners in five major metro markets
  • Information from a 2,000-person panel of respondents wearing the GfK MediaWatch, a wearable meter that captures information on radio listening when the wearer is in hearing range of a radio station.
Might give a little kick to SEN, their digital platform is arguably the best in the local market and could represent a good chunk of listeners.

Having made the misfortune of listening a couple of times, I'd guess the number for listener age actually represents listener IQ in that one. It's like standing at a TAB window watching those within.

As with the last survey: big lols that the evening slot clearly out-rates the earlier programs that probably cost Hutchy 5 times as much in wages

'GARRRN, GED UPPPP'

Three words that sum up SEN Track, especially on weekends

Credit to Garry and Tim for discussing the biggest news in world sport today - merging of the three major golf tours. Mature discussion.

Touched for a minute on the world test championship. Maybe two minutes. Tim says he can’t watch cricket during footy season. Wow. Wow.

Two big stories overnight in the world of sport, yet Dwayne opens the show trying to "shoehorn" the conversation into AFL topics - something about Mason Redman being a free agent not going to a club facing instability, and a couple other boring footy issues. Clear that he wanted to drive the callers into those topics.

Dwayne really is lost when talking about anything other than AFL and a bit of basketball.

Whilst I agree, the market is mainly afl football, which is a shame, there's lots of news around and people are probably sick of footy 24/7.

Today was huge in sport all round , he's a goose . 3 hours not enough time again to do his show again , maybe if he stopped talking about himself he would . Also stop the everyday callers like Trout calling everyday , the flog mustn't work and hangs on the line for 70 mins
