Two big stories overnight in the world of sport, yet Dwayne opens the show trying to "shoehorn" the conversation into AFL topics - something about Mason Redman being a free agent not going to a club facing instability, and a couple other boring footy issues. Clear that he wanted to drive the callers into those topics.

Dwayne really is lost when talking about anything other than AFL and a bit of basketball.
Ange ? only the hugest sporting achievement in this country since Cadel,did he avoid it ? if so hes pathetic and lost,deserves to lose the show if thats the case
 
Hutchy told another little fib on The Sounding Board about SEN's ab-breaks. After he said his usual, "we have less ab-breaks than any other commercial station", Barrett replied with, "yeah, but they're 6mins long". Hutchy goes, "no, they're 4 mins". Bull-schlarkin! :tongueoutv1: Most ad-breaks are over 5 mins, and are topped and tailed with live mentions of other sponsors. BIG ISSUES!! :grinv1:

very true. which is a shame cause when he was on 3aw with healy they covered more than just afl.

then when callers call in talking about footy he simply says "midday madness, you call you get on....you can talk about anything you want" (except non afl).

people will argue "but golf and tennis were already covered in the earlier shows". yet when footy topics are discussed in both breakfast and morning it's ok cause "some listners wont have heard about it before".

Today was huge in sport all round , he's a goose . 3 hours not enough time again to do his show again , maybe if he stopped talking about himself he would . Also stop the everyday callers like Trout calling everyday , the flog mustn't work and hangs on the line for 70 mins

Is he counting the betting ads every five mins slotted in as discussion? The constant roll call of sponsors coming out of every ad break? The sponsor mentions for seemingly every segment and every time a host introduces anything? Next thing they'll have sponsors for their sponsor mentions.

Ha, no, the mentioning of sponsors is on top of the ads. To be fair, Off The Bench's ad-breaks might be 4mins long, but Huthcy NEVER shuts up about sponsors on that show, and about a quarter of it is paid segments

oh intresting. i thought the poster mentioned it just happened on the same sports shift as the golf merger etc.
