Honestly I still think that if he was drafted in say 2018-19 he would have been experimented with more earlier on in his career. He missed the window where Horse would play anyone.

Alas he was drafted into a year where we made the GF all of a sudden. But time to unleash him.
 
That's not a bad place to start. No-one plays big inside minutes early in their career. Just needs to get on the paddock.

Caleb strong did. Jai Newcombe did.

No one plays it if the players there are really good or if they aren’t injured. But hawthorn showed that if you get rid your existing players the new ones can do it through time and experience. With hawthorn that meant a losing season.

But with us given that our mids can’t win it at the coal face anyway maybe it’s irrelevant
 
I’m absolutely not expecting Sheldrick can do what Neale was doing to the level he was doing it yesterday, but if you watch Neale’s quick hands and ground ball winning and explosive run from contest to contest, that is what we need at least to a serviceable level. The only player on the list who you could argue could provide it to some level is Sheldrick. He’s gotta have a massive offseason and make himself indisputable for round one.
