That's a really hopeful post. If that is his ankle then he's done till after the bye I would think.
Yep it is hopeful, I'm not a big fan of jabs and painkillers he'd probably need those.
Though him playing out the game is a good sign.

Good bloke Dave. Met him a few days after we drafted him and geez he's a solid guy. Caught up with him a couple of times last 12 months and he hasn't changed a bit.

Both character and playing wise he's very important to us. Super courageous, knows his role, and is an unsung and low key leader in the group along with Grimesy (his best mate).

Hope he gets up for next week. Very important to our structure.

On Friday night he went off & down the race for the usual tests, he then re-appeared on the bench & our medicos were stuck to a computer screen, which apparently was footage of the incident. It was soon after that he was back on the ground.

The footage may have showed it to be a collision/impact injury rather than a rolling of the ankle, which rules out any strain or sprain. After taping if he could put weight on it, that would rule out a break.

100 games this week for Swoop. Fantastic achievement. He’s had to do it the hard way - testament to his character as well as his skill. Seems like a top bloke & has turned into a gun player! Intergal cog in a Premiership Team and hopefully starts to get the plaudits he deserves from outside the club.

More chuffed for Dave reaching 100 games than just about anyone I can remember. Congrats Swoop!

Hope he goes bc he's an expensive back up player. Elton is more important than dave just on mobility alone
Get it done boys
Next year is going to be awesome with at least six list cloggers moved on this year.
Bloody Elton

You gotta love Dave, he is a really impressive individual and I could see him joining the Leadership group soon.
I would even go as far as saying he would make a great captain. His no fuss no nonsense approach is something I really admire in him.
I'm wrapped he is at our club and didn't decide to leave.

Had the pleasure of meeting him briefly in Sydney, very humble & a true gentleman.

He is a great man. Was walking through Punt Rd yesterday and he went out of his way to say hello.

Just a ripper.

Haere Ra

Lovely country bloke - has that great no fuss manner about him.

When Conca went down was straight over to him when all the others were in the huddle. Thought that was a great gesture, and great leadership at the time, not easy to see your mate writhing in pain and then get on and play the game.

Nothing a plate of Lasagne won't fix.
