Might turn into Jess Sinclair #9

That'd be nice.

( seriously, seriously underrated )

Worked opposite a Canadian fella years ago building computers in London. He was a Leafs fan and every morning he'd ask me "How'd the Maple Leafs go" .... except with his accent, and he was a bit of a drunk, it sounded like "How'd the Make Believes go". I genuinely thought he was extracting urine from them as they always seemed to lose. Anyway, a few months later I changed jobs and was playing the playstation on this massive screen, had a go at whatever Ice Hockey game and lo and behold, the Make Believes were blue and white! I lolled and they became another blue and white team to follow.

Think we thought the same when we got Hall, Polek and Pittard. Hope this time is different.

Didn't like either of Polec/Pittard at the time. Was angry. Was neither happy/angry on Hall.

Excited on Clark/Logue. Neither happy/angry on Tucker.

Fremantle supporters today:

Not exactly. I haven’t heard one Freo supporter care about this. There’s a reason he wasn’t getting games. He’s a solid B/C grader with rare flashes of B+. Hopefully, he goes well for your squad, but we’re not crying in our beers over here.

LOL.

He's a better player than Tucker. (And Greenwood but no one thought that last pre season.)

So was Dumont but no one was ever giving us a pick for him. There are so many avenues available now for picking up players that you'd be daft to give up a pick for a player who doesn't look like getting another contract.

Just went to the Griffen Logue thread on the draft and trading board.

You're categorically wrong

Wait, we're talking about Logue in the Darcy Tucker thread? My bad. Silly me.

I wasn't talking about Logue. He IS a genuine loss, but he was dropped from the team mid season because we couldn't fit him into our stacked back line. This is why he was put up forward (it's also because we didn't have any decent forwards who weren't hurt. lol). Part of the reason Griff wants out is because he knows he's a bit on the fringe of our best back 7 whereas he'll get 23 games by going to the wooden spooners with little talent down back. Plus, NM is offering him more money because he's more valuable to them. I don't mind he's leaving, actually. You can't keep everyone and I think he's an B+ talent that will help you guys suck less. I wish him well and hope he's everything you paying him for.

But back on topic...

Please feel free to quote any freo supporter's rant on how he/she is devastated that we're losing Tucker.

P.S. Also, it's Griffin, not Griffen. Easy mistake to make.

Adaptable midfielder Darcy Tucker is another Docker on the Roos' radar.

The North Ballarat export has represented Fremantle in 108 games since he headed west with pick 27 in 2015.

"We think he can help us both on the field and off the field with his professionalism," Rawlings explained.

"He's under contract, so he's in a different position (to Logue), but we feel we should be able to acquire his services as well."

TUCKER NARROWS IN ON NORTH

DARCY Tucker is set to forge ahead with his move to North Melbourne after doing his due diligence this week after the uncertainty surrounding Roos coach Alastair Clarkson.

Clarkson will delay his commencement as coach of North Melbourne to participate in the AFL's investigation into serious allegations made against the coach during his time at Hawthorn.

The Fremantle midfielder had nominated North Melbourne as his preferred new home days before the bombshell Hawthorn report, but is expected to follow through with his move to the Kangaroos.

He is likely to meet with the Roos again next week in Melbourne, with Tucker contracted for 2023 at Fremantle but the Dockers open to trading him given his personal pull back to Victoria.

Griffin Logue is also still keen to get to Arden Street on a five-year deal, with the Roos expected to offer their future second-round pick, given to them from the AFL as part of their assistance package, to land the Dockers key defender. – Callum Twomey

Happy coincidence on my part that the city I moved to had a home team with exactly the right colours.

I think it does go some way to explaining why the leafs are the only non-nm team that I get properly attached to.
