I wouldn't exactly call Goodwin a mastermind. in fact he'd be one of the weaker coaches in the league. This year has been all Yze and Williams

Nah that is crap. You can't bag him for every year we've underperformed then not give him any credit when we're having a good season. If anything our mids have been weaker under Yze stats-wise but we're a much better team overall.

Sometimes I get the feeling people don't like Goodwin just because his press conferences are so boring and he rarely shows emotion.

There's still a lot of mistakes that he's making. 1 is Harmes not tagging. Clearly he plays his best footy there. But nah, lets have Seedsman get 25 in a half.
Other thing is Brayshaw on a wing. No.
Other thing is not trialling Petty forward.Petty is probably the best forward in our team. And better than Brown imo.
Other thing is not having Jackson play on ball. He hasn't even trialled it but we get smashed in clearances but he hasnt changed up the Gawn/Trac/Oliver mix once.
Weideman has also never been trialled as a backman which is odd because he has all the traits.
Also his post match pressers show a complete lack of understanding of everything.'we're still working on our game etc.' its round 23 for gods sake.
Also, our complete inability to ice games and our consistency to allow teams back into games.

It's called Jackson being a rover. You do realise Gawn rucks the majority of the game yeah? So it seems you may be the simpleton. Jackson as a permanent midfield would allow so much more flexibility. Especially considering Jackson is a ruckman/midfielder. Not a forward.

This is an example of what i'm talking about. This is a very simple kick to a guy screaming for the ball, completely on his own. the guy on the mark can't move so it's a very simple step to the right and 20m pass that any local player could hit. Instead Bowey was too busy hesitating and looking at other options that he didn't even see the most obvious option. He went sideways. So while its well and good to spit me disposal efficiency stats it doesn't tell a full story. He needs to calm down and just take the first option.

I like that you addressed the weakness in your own argument, a screen grab doesn't tell the whole story. Context is critical. What was the situation, what was the timing of the lead, where was he in his movement post mark, what were the instructions of the coaching staff? Decision making flows downstream, not in isolated moments.
Stuff the mods this post is ******* stupid. I re watched this and the screen grab you took is while Bowey is still back pedalling. Within half a second Melkshams been manned up. This is a ******* joke of a post mate
Hmmmmm does look more like an example of Melksham not being able to time a lead.

Melksham was fine. Bowey maybe didn't have the confidence to go off one step. That's fine. Moving it sideways is no drama. Better than pumping it long to the pocket.
