Look liked Scotty Thompson
Too small I reckon. Hunter is supposedly a little taller than Ayden, and quite a bit bulkier. Might have been a trainer checking his progress coming back from the reco.

It's great that Hansen is running well but I was hoping he would hit the weights more this year as he seems to get pushed off the ball too easily against blokes like Glass last year.He needs more muscle.

6:05 is solid for a footballer. Depends how spent he was at the end but it probably equates to about 13mins for the tan.

We're not going to run teams off their legs if he's the quickest though.

Get 6-8 of them under 5:55 and the opposition will be in trouble.

You forgot the part about winning the ball. No use have blokes who can run under 5:55 without the footy. ;)

I wonder who the 2 players who got lapped in a 2km time trial were.

I guess Majak has made some progress since he is no longer coming last

There is no way those 2 getting lapped were part of the time trial.

Considering sub 10 minutes is a good 3km times, 6 minutes for the 2km would be pretty good.

Narni would run the tan in the mid 11's, it's mostly down hill besides the one hill. I find it easier than a track. And its 3.8km.

Kennedy was definitely part of the time trial, he led the first lap before Lachie took over. I can't see him playing much AFL footy this year with a tank like that. Will need a solid first half of the year in the VFL injury free to be any chance.

The other runner was Jason Lappin.

Have you chatted to him? Great kid but I couldn't see him doing the captain thing. Came across as more the "I just want to play footy" type.

Would love to see him hit back next season, for himself as well as the team.

Before he got injured last season, there was a fair bit of hype and a few people thinking this might happen. He's since been replaced in the race by Ziebell.

edit: And on Kennedy, fair enough really, he's been nursing an ACL for a year.

As far as I can recall it was only Teffy that had jumped off the Grima bandwagon.

Grima, along with Black and a few others should be delisted before Ben Warren....

He's in our top 5 MVP. (Wells, Petrie, Swallow and Goldstein the others for those playing at home)

The only query is his ability to play on the bigger forwards.

Which I think is still relevant.

Re: Fit Grima leads intense Roos

Let's just have a bunch of different captains for different things, like:

General Captain: Brent Harvey
Captain of the Midfield: Andrew Swallow
Captain of the Forward Line: Drew Petrie
Captain of the Back Line: Nathan Grima
Captain of the Bench: Ben Speight
Captain of Facebook: Majak Daw
Captain of Not the Supporter Base: Lindsay Thomas
Captain of Facial Expressions: Lachie Hansen
Captain of Tackling and Heavy Bumps: Levi Greenwood
Captain of Intensity and Contested Possessions: Jack Ziebell
Captain of Running and Good Kicking: Daniel Wells
Captain of Hitouts and Being Really Tall: Todd Goldstein
Captain of Missing Games due to Injury: Matt Campbell
Captain of Hype: Aaron Black

This way almost everyone gets a leadership role.

Mottram 9.49

Crawford 11.04

Narni is 0% chance of breaking 12 minutes.

I'd think we'd have a pretty poor fitness base if the fittest bloke at our club couldn't get within a minute of Crawf, albeit Crawf being a super runner.
