they have been pretty much top 2 for like the last 3-4 years havent they?

True, but all the players from previous years are gone now. from the year when altona came first and lost the granny, not a single player from that team is playing in altona 18's now...
it is pretty much an entirely new team, with 13 starting A players no longer playing from last years team... its going to be a young year for altona, i think mat tedesco will be altonas shining light

i mean like the boys that will make up the majority of the group, the second year players.

for example 2 years ago when those boys were top age 16 A's they were average.

same for when they were 14 A's from memory

Maybe vales. They do have allot of work just like any other team in A grade if they want to come close to hoppers. but they might just have the cattle. heard on the grape vine the picked up some handy players from wezza. Hoppers apparently have some frustrations of their own just quietly. Not all is happy in hoppers land. Altona have a star in tedesco. Not sure who eles they have. Willi have not had good numbers on the track.

Does anyone know how spotty are going?

One thing for sure is that anyone can win the flag without werribee

Altona dont have the stand-out names they had last year, but the commitment down at training and the attitude of the players seem to be much better. More of a champion team, rather then a team of champions as it was last year.

please enlighten me on these frustrations at hoppers which i am completely unaware of? or is it just nonsense?

hoppers no doubt would go in favs as they made the granny last year and apparently have some good players but we will can only see. I cant see vales challenging them at all but you never know and for altona maybe they will be marked as the dark horse this year because from the sound of things evenone is writing them off even before there first game!
