Time to STFU about what Buckley did or didn't say. Keeping that story going is a distraction now. Show your contempt for FIGJAM on the field.

Agreed but the obvious issue is that the media keep asking him about it.

He likely won't do anymore external media now for a while so it's probably the last we hear of it for a while.

Then tell the media it's time to move on.

You can see he’s extremely uncomfortable with the continued media focus on the Buckley fallout. Unsurprising. At the end of the day he’s a 21 year old kid who’s made some mistakes but clearly doing his best, day by day to mature into the star that the Pies will rue for the next 10 years letting go.

Agreed in that the club will protect him now and let him get on with pre-season and meeting his new team mates.

Send all 4 boys out on the piss in a working class suburb with the bash brothers(TG & Cam) for the night, to remind him he's now at Arden Street and not Smith Street.

He's a shinboner now, and that comes with a price.

Yep agree Snake. Yes he can pull his head in now but misdemeanors are often in the make up of the young guys and more often than not the very good players. Nice guys rarely finish first.

It helps that he’s come in with 2 other kids, and Corr. Really smart by the club to put them through the media together rather then just him.

I think I have seen people say he was a goal kicking wing

16 year old in the Tac Cup - small forward
17 year old in the Tac Cup - half forward
18 year old in Tac Cup - wing then moved inside midfielder for finals.

He only really played the role he did at Collingwood as a under-under age player.

Exactly. Luff and Clayton said he was the 2nd best inside mid behind LDU in the 2nd half of the TAC.

Just depends if we decide to place players like Atley or LDU now.

There also has to be some easing of expectations though.

I highly doubt he ever becomes a center square mid at AFL level.

AFL level clearance work isn't the TAC Cup, your regular AFL clearance player is generally 6"3 and 90kg's or a Cunnington/Neale nuggetty physical animal.

Transitioning to a wing is more realistic.

R.I.P to any Collingwood defender that play’s on him in the next ten years

Lol, there was a bit of venom in the "can't wait until the next time I get to play them line".

To say this has probably lit a fire under his ass is the understatement of the century.

Its funny that they discuss “attitude” issues yet they keep a player with sexual assault charges plus various other charges he has copped over the years..

Advice from the coach who was rumoured to be getting after tennis extras whilst in the hub is a little critical as well.
